"Safety First was terrific. I went on another site to search for chimney sweeps in my area and came up with several names. When I posted something about needing a chimney sweep, Vincent from Safety First was the first person and first company to respond (within about 3 minutes). Vincent offered to come up to my town, which is probably about 45 minutes from where he is based, but the weather and driving conditions were bad, so we scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Vincent worked hard-- it takes someone who is strong to force the piping up into the flue to clear the blockage. Vincent also vacumed the flue and checked it later to make sure it was venting properly. He was very polite and conscientious- he called to tell me when he was on his way, showed me his business card when he arrived, cleaned up after himself, and was honest. I had been told by someone else that I needed to replace my furnace, which kept shutting itself off. It turns out the furnace has a safety mechanism that shuts down the gas/heating function if the furnace detects that it is getting too hot or there is a problem with insufficient ventilation. Because Safety First cleared the blocked flue, my furnace is now able to heat my house and there is no need for it to shut itself off. I would have had Safety First install the replacement furnace, and told Vincent that already, so by telling me my equipment did not need to be replaced he actually is cutting himself off from a job I otherwise would have been glad to give him. If I need any chimney/fireplace work done in the future I will contact Safety First and not need to look elsewhere."

"The crew arrived on time and did a thorough job. The reason this rating isn't higher is because the crew chief had been in my house no more than 10 minutes before diagnosing what he said was a dangerous level of creosote in our chimney and recommending installation of a $1,000+ chimney liner, which his company would of course be happy to sell us. I said no, thanks. The next year I hired another service - Emener ([*** Link removed ***] - which told me that the chimney was actually in good shape and pretty clean considering how much we use the fireplace. 5 Star clearly used its promotional offer as a way to upsell an expensive add-on that I am now convinced wasn't needed. Beware of deals that look too good to be true."

"After hurricane sandy in 2012 a lot of people in Brooklyn and  Long Island got flooded a lot of home owners received flood damages or  lost their property due to Hurricane Sandy... I am living on Cony Island Seagate  area at that time I was home with my Family and how a remember the water came up to my house and flooded my basement and first floor of my house... They took off the walls  in the basement and 1st floor, they did mold disinfection, replaced all drywall's, wiring, boiler, windows, doors, siding etc..
They did remodeling on the master bathroom from the first floor and kitchen, they did a wonderful job...We love their new engineered Hardwood floor and the new design of the bathroom with the big bathtub and shower cabinet ... The price we spend ed was a little higher than we were   expected because we did some design work in the living room and Kitchen but for sure it worth it....If Someone will ask me for a recommendation for sure I will recommend Structureline because they helped me out at that time ....Thanks"

We decide to let his crew re-create the original piece from stone. The work they did left us with a beautiful and artistic facade the functions well in collecting rain water from the roof. The crew was respectful, clean and on time. They went above and beyond all of our expectations in touching up every minor detail so that the whole front of the house was left looking brand new. "fMarcus had been referred to me by a friend who had used him when building his house. I spoke to him on the phone and we agreed on a time to meet at the job site for an estimate. Right from the beginning Marcus couldn't have been more patient, friendly, helpful and professional. We met on time and I showed him the four crumbling concrete steps in the rear of the building, the crumbling concrete stoop in the front of the building and the cinder block wall with cracks in it. There were also two loose pieces of irregular shaped slate at the base of the steps, which was a trip hazard. The steps were not all the same height, so Marcus recommended reducing the rise in the taller steps by adding concrete. He also excavated at the base of the steps, cut the slate into three perfect rectangles and cemented them in. No more tripping hazard and everything looks great! He was also able to repair and reinforce a crumbling concrete stoop in the front of the building after I had been told by other contractors that it had to be replaced. As he was working, Marcus would give me options and come up with better solutions, like strengthening the wall with short pieces of rebar. I would definitely hire Marcus again!
