Yanover Constructions sole mission is to offer the best quality service at a competitive rate. We are a licensed General Contractor and also offer Remodeling and Renovation services! We offer professional interior and high-quality exterior painting services as well. Our promise to our clients is that we will use only the highest quality materials on their home or business. Our tradesmen are customer oriented and trained to deliver the highest quality service in the industry. Our workmanship speaks for itself. We don't cut corners to save a little money like other contractors, we want your repeat and referral business and we treat you like it.
"I hired Yanover to build a deck and porch, but I would not recommend their services to anyone. Throughout the process, it became evident that customer satisfaction and effective project management were not priorities for them. Here’s a timeline of the most critical issues I experienced: Excessive Project Timeline and Disruption: This project spanned nearly five months, from early April to late September, turning my yard into a construction site for the entire summer. Yanover's repeated delays and lack of coordination meant that I couldn't use my yard or deck for most of the season, resulting in significant inconvenience. Initial Delays and Communication Issues: After making my first payment in April, I received plans that had errors, were incomplete, delivered late and required revisions, causing delays. Over the following weeks, their communication was inconsistent and vague, often providing excuses rather than clear updates. On multiple occasions, work was postponed with little to no notice due to "rain," even when weather forecasts showed otherwise. Unreliable Scheduling and Inspections: Yanover’s scheduling issues became a pattern, with crew members no-showing or being sent without necessary materials. Inspections were scheduled, canceled, and rescheduled with no communication until I reached out myself. Yes, I reached out directly to the county because I could not trust my contractor that I had paid tens of thousands of dollars. Changes to Agreed-upon Plans and Poor Execution: A couple months into the project, they altered the roofline, which added more delays and required additional work to ensure proper drainage. Even after these changes, final inspections were repeatedly failed due to oversight, and issues were corrected only after extensive back-and-forth. Lack of Accountability for Drainage and Paint Quality: When water drainage issues arose after the project, Yanover was unwilling to correct the issues caused by their work and then offered to install french drains for 5x the amount quoted to me by other companies. Later, their painting crew provided poor-quality coats of stain, leaving brush strokes visible. After two coats of the semi-transparent stain I chose, I had to settle for a solid stain to cover the poor work, adding even more time to my already delayed project. Throughout this process, Yanover demonstrated poor communication, unreliable scheduling, and a clear disregard for client satisfaction. I expected professional oversight and clear communication from a construction company, but instead, I faced ongoing frustration and an end product that didn’t meet initial expectations. I would not recommend Yanover to anyone seeking a reliable, customer-focused contractor."

My focus is quality. I never cut corners, even when it's more expensive. Some of my competitors are cheaper, but I will take the time to make sure you're 100% happy.
"This company definitely exceeded my expectations. Nowadays it is hard to find quality work for a reasonable cost. The Brothers General Contracting and Landscaping is one of those rare companies that offers quality work for reasonable costs. The moment I met Lance when he came to my home to give me an estimate to build an enclosed deck, he guaranteed me that I would be happy with their work. Well, he definitely was a true man of his word and I couldn’t be more happier with their work. His crew were punctual and professional and they treated my property as if it was their own. Kudos to Lance and his crew. I will be contacting you again for my next project."

William Payne is focused on quality contracting and on providing the best service to every one. I am a Member of Pickens county Builders association and have a Business LLC in Cherokee county ,permit, remodeling, and I run into a lot of so call tire kickers and don't think every one know /W/C, General liability, auto insurance for coming in and out of subdivisions, plus lot of years infield training, have and will do most all phases of remodeling from A to Z we support fix up paint up clean up/can we be of help
"We started on May the first and completed this weekend 6/28/00. We did have a delay of a couple of weeks because of the double hung double windows 60" x 72" windows. Also we originally were just going to do the 12x15 screened in porch and leave the 10x12 deck that was attached alone. By the end of it we had enclosed the entire 12x25 of porch and deck opened up the wall in 3 spots two to allow walking through and one that we are putting shelves in to give light to the existing living room. The bottom line it took a bit longer then expected and sometimes we were wanting things to go faster then the builder could get done, but bottom line it was done well and when complete, was better then expected. We did some of the contracting for our floors but I know our builder would have done it as well we just wanted a bit more control. William is a bit of a character just a good old boy from here in the south. Don't let that put you off he does a good job and was very fare in his price and after our experience with the last builder we had a refreshing change. I would recommend him to do any remodeling work that you have."

I am a one-man shop trying to put together beautiful and useful works of art with wood so that someone might enjoy them in their home.
"STL Woodworking did a stellar job with my special order for a one-of-a-kind river wood table. I described what I had in mind in terms of wood, colors, and size, and the owner (Greg) crafted the most beautiful table made out of a beautiful piece of macacauba wood and paired with a gorgeous epoxy color and a perfect set of black metal table legs. Greg completed the project on schedule and delivered the piece himself. The table is stunning, so I rearranged my furniture to make it a centerpiece in my sitting area, and I use it daily as my desk working from home. It is truly a piece of functional art. I am so glad I went with STL Woodworking for this project."

"Robert did a nice job for a fair price (average price per square foot) on a removal and reinstall of a 20 year old deck on a rental property. Seemed prompt and professional during the bidding process and actual construction. Unfortunately, he broke a window during construction and never mentioned it. Fortunately the tenant let us know. When I reached out to Robert, he seemed apologetic and assured me he would take care of it. When he finished the deck about a week later he informed me the job was complete, and a replacement window was on order. He requested we pay the total minus $500 for the window, which we agreed to. It has been almost a month since we payed, and I have reached out via text and voicemail (just sends the call to voicemail) a few times to get a status update, he wont return calls or texts. I am almost convinced he lied about ordering a window. I am now wondering if he pulled a building permit and/or had the work inspected, I will check with the county and update the review, but I suspect not. Bottom line, Im not sure Id use this guy again, definitely has issues with professionalism. At a minimum, I wouldnt pay for more than materials until I was 100% certain the job and any issues caused by the job were complete before I settled payment, and I would use a credit card or method of payment that is contestable/reversible in case there are issues. (One BBB review on his profile said he took payment for services he never provided.)"

In many cases, refinishing your furniture is more affordable than buying new. You can often save up to 50% compared to purchasing new pieces, while also reducing waste and preserving unique items.
When applying a darker stain, you don't need to completely remove the existing lighter stain. However, it's essential to sand the surface and apply a quality sealer before staining to ensure even coverage and adhesion.
Refurbishing involves gentle cleaning and minor touch-ups without altering the existing finish, preserving the original character. Refinishing involves removing the old finish and applying new stain or paint, resulting in a transformed appearance.
Furniture made from materials like plywood, particleboard, or MDF can be challenging to refinish due to their fragility. These materials require extra preparation and may not yield the desired results.
Yes, refinishing antique furniture can decrease its value because collectors often prefer the original finish. Before refinishing an antique, consider consulting a professional to explore restoration options that preserve its historical authenticity.
Water-damaged or swollen wood can be repaired if the damage is not extensive. You begin by assessing the severity of the issue before undertaking repair. Professional refinishing employs techniques such as sanding, filling, and targeted restoration to fix minor imperfections. Skilled intervention salvages the piece’s appearance while ensuring long-term durability and a refreshed finish.
