"Great company! They came out when they said they were going to, the work was carried out smoothly and without issues. The installer was very polite and conscientious. The pricing was not inexpensive, but it rarely is for a licensed, bonded, insured company using professional grade materials (not the cheap big box store cabling). These guys did the work right and when you re dealing with something as dangerous as natural gas you can t afford a company that makes mistakes. All in all, my gas heater works wonders and I m very pleased with the work. For future work, they ll be on my short list of contractors to call. Thanks TMS!"

"Called All Plumbing Repair and Mike showed up on the same day. We had a leak somewhere in our 2nd floor master bathroom dripping into the 1st floor family room through a light fixture. After talking through the problem, we discussed various approaches to attack the leak. Mike measured, made one cut, exposed the pipe fitting with the pin hole leak (he could hear it spraying), repaired in 15 minutes and we were done. Pleasant, prompt professional and fair in terms of price. Would definitely use again and would definitely recommend to a friend."

"<p>The thing about Nutmeg, they come and have replaced the same piece on the gas hot water heater. Why does it have to be replaced about every year to year and a half? The same issue still exists and I am considering hiring somebody else to come and take a look. They come and do what they tell me they are going to do, I am just not pleased that it is repetitive. The same guy consistently comes out each time. He is personable and friendly.    I would them to do a more thorough trouble shoot. The ground wire is to prevent tripping the whole system -- the safety switch. Why is the safety switch going off -- why aren't they looking at why the safety switch is going off? </p>"

"<p>My A/C unit is  a 16 years old American Standard with a Trane compressor . I live up in Silver Ridge and wanted to get service from someone who worked in this area, so I contacted First Response. They came right out, saw the problem and fixed it.  They cautioned me about the age of the unit, with a specific warning about the motor.  The system worked for hours, when suddenly my wife heard a screeching noise in the motor. It sounded like the motor jammed up.  We called First Response back and they came out and replaced the motor. </p> <p> First Response  was presented with some unique problems in their efforts to repair this unit. It was very old and it was a holiday week end. I am very satisfied with their service as are my neighbors who also contacted First Response </p>"

"<p>Flex pipe in the exhaust of my 2002 Toyota Highlander rusted through. Montambaults made the appointment on Thursday afternoon for early Saturday and were ready to go when I arrived. Quick diagnosis in 15 minutes, then they came and explained the problem and the proposed repair and gave an estimate for the job. On my go ahead, the job got done in less than an hour and I was actually charged a bit less than the estimate. Got to watch the repair being done on closed circuit TV from their waiting room.</p> <p>All of the mechanics working at this place are ASE Certified with their certificates on the wall of the waiting room which in my mind is an indicator of a quality shop. Definitely would go there again. </p> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Somers, CT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
