"I first met Tony, owner of Nexxus Remodeling, soon after his lead hardwood flooring installer had come to check out my home so they could send me an estimate. My project was to rip out all carpet in my upstairs, and on the stairs from the 1st floor. Even before I had received all bids I’d sought from him and other contractors, Tony found out the floor I’d intended to buy was out of stock. He arranged for me to go to a showroom that has the best inventory and selection I’d seen in my search, and he met me there to personally assist me to find flooring I liked just as well as my first choice. I was soon able to determine that Tony’s bid was very comprehensive and reasonable, but his efforts to help me before even being hired had impressed me just as much. If you want to hire a contractor who will go to extreme lengths to ensure you end up a totally satisfied customer, Tony. He said from the beginning that he wouldn’t consider my flooring project completed until I felt that every detail had been attended to, and he meant it! Tony personally checks in frequently to monitor the project. His crew does it all (carpet removal and disposal; installation of hardwood flooring, moldings and risers; carpentry; removal and replacement of doors and furniture; and, clean up after each days work). Not only that but they removed a washer and dryer that had konked out, and brought them downstairs onto my patio, AND then they cleaned out a laundry area that had at least 25 years worth of lint and dust built up in it. "All in all, my experience was George was very good. He had an enormous job to do with very little margin for error given that the existing older tiles he was working around were irreplaceable. He was sensitive to every one of my requests; from protecting the tub (which I had foolishly reglazed before his work) to helping me plane the doors to the proper level for the new flooring. He also had some very helpful suggestions for keeping the new tile and grout sealed for years to come.

The care he took with his tile laying/cutting was truly something to behold and brought the new floor up to a noticeably higher level of craftsmanship. There was no skimping of materials and I was proud to see he did the entire job himself (as opposed to subcontracting out to less experienced workers).

No job goes perfectly, but the real test of someone is how they respond to bumps in the road. My wife and I felt the cleanup after the gig left something to be desired. Without hesitation, George came back, listened to our requests, made ZERO excuses and and took care of every one of the cleanup issues. To me, this is something that creates repeat customers. A mistake is nothing, but how a professional reacts to it is everything.
