"I asked Lee for a quote for 2 alternative solutions to install a surround sound and hang TV on the wall, with the goal of removing the components and the TV stand/media center from the leaving room. I like that fact that he does the design, was on site with the installers while the job was done, and came at the end to fine tune/calibrate my system himself. The result was beyond my expectation. the sound/video is incredible, and the most important thing no media center/TV stand, no components everything is nicely hidden at the top of our coat closet in an unused space. 
Why did Lee stand out from the others?
He was very knowledgeable (I did an extensive research before and all his recommendations were spot on), honest and creative. He was involved in every step of the process His prices were competitive, and he didn't try to up-sell me more expensive stuff than what I needed, or already had. Also, Lee stuck to his final quote even though the job took longer that expected.
Finally, I have to respond to a negative review that someone wrote saying that Lee quoted  $800 for a universal remote. Obviously I wasn't part of their conversation, but I find it hard to believe b/c ALL the quotes I got from Lee were in writing by email and he
quoted me around $400 for a high end remote including his time to program it to my system. It is a shame that people can write inaccurate stuff and effect someone's reputation that way.

"I called to schedule a 1-hour in-home computer tune-up.  The person I spoke with seemed very professional and we made an appointment for 3:30 pm the next Friday.  ON the day of the appointment, my husband got a call at 9 am from someone who said he was coming to our house and was going to late.  The guy calling had trouble explaining who he was, but my husband figured out eventually that he was coming from Geek Choice and that he thought the appointment was at 9 am.  My husband explained that I wasn't home and that the appointment was actually scheduled for 3:30 pm.  The technician was pretty upset - despite the fact that he was half an hour away from our house at that time.  But he did agree to come at 3:30 pm.
At 3:50 pm, no sign of him.  I called to see what was going on.  He didn't apologize, just said he was caught in traffic -- that Friday afternoons are a bad time to be on the highway.  At the time, he was so far away that even without  traffic it would have taken him 30 minutes to get to our house.  I said we would need to reschedule and he seemed shocked.  I decided that with that level of customer service, I would just find someone else.
