"I sent a message to the company in the late evening regarding my broken central AC and Jason was here Tuesday morning to look at it. He tried to repair it but was not able to due to the age of the unit and the damage. We needed a new unit and he was here to put it in first thing Wednesday morning. Took him two hours and our AC was working. He was nice and professional. We felt the price was reasonable. Would use him again and recommend his business."

"Some very old pipes started leaking after a previous contractor had moved them. Was able to come out the evening I called and give me estimates, options, and a lot of useful info the same day. Completed a lot of pipe replacement that same week and then came out the following week for an extra job hooking up an old outdoor faucet into the new piping. New pipes looking excellent, a real pro, highly recommended."

"The company is friendly, responsive and professional. They replaced my water heater 4 years ago and I was very happy with their service. Recently the water heater sprung a leak. The first visit for the estimate was 15 maybe 20 minutes which cost $211 just to come over. The follow-up visit to replace the parts lasted around 20 to 30 minutes. This visit was $554, which includes tax. So total cost for the 2 visits was $765. My issue is that I could not apply the $211 towards the repair. On the internet I found the parts, which totaled approximately $100. Using the high end of the time estimate, the labor is close to $800 and hour. I believe the standard is to apply the initial visit cost to the repair. Because they couldn't do this, I was very disappointed, especially since I was a repeat customer."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Southampton, NY

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
