"We had a great experience with Granite Works. We contracted our countertop work on July 28th. We feel very fortunate to have met Art. He is very professional and not a high pressure sales person.  He was more of a designer and he took us out to the slab yard helping us find slabs that matched our kitchen design and equally important budget.. We were able to use their sample cabinet materials and coordinate them with the slabs, colors, movement and patterns.  He advised us on the best cuts, edgings, care, etc. Once we selected the granite within a few minutes, Art presented us with an estimate on the spot.  We placed a 50% deposit and the next day the office assistance called us to schedule our on site template. The template process was easy and thorough. It is very helpful if you take your kitchen photos with you and your detailed measurements.  That way your estimate is accurate and Art can help you with balancing movement, appropriate area for seams, if any.  Granite works provided the granite, onsite measurements, sink options, bull nose edging and included all cut outs, plus an Angie's List discount. Our price was $2500 less than a company in  the Mt. Airy. Within a week we had a template completed, in two weeks the fabrication of 2 slabs, and the installation of occurred on  August 9th. In 1 day! We elected to forego their 4" backsplash option and we designed and installed our own. Art's design consultation was very helpful.  After we finished 1/2 the backsplash we sent Art a thank you email with a photo.  He was so surprised and we were surprised and happy 1) he remembered us, and 2) he liked our natural stone tile work.  We recommend Granite Works for quality, professionalism and price.  Good luck and thanks Angie's List. "Pablo arrived a little later than the appointment time, but he was polite and professional, and still completed the project on time. The tub looks amazing, the caulk is perfect. There is some residue left on the bronze piping that I can't wash off yet without damaging the glaze. I'm hoping it's easy to clean up. He did put up a protective sheet to protect the house, it probably would have been worthwhile if he also covered the shower hardware. I wasn't expecting the exhaust tube to run through the house to the front door, but he said the bathroom window was too close. It made sense when I saw the equipment, it was just unexpected. He laid down a cloth to protect the wood floors. All in all, good service, good price, and I would hire again."

"Show room experience positive and was key reason we almost went with them along with VERY competitive pricing. I believe I would have gotten a quality install but company uses all in-house labor and there was some reluctance to pull permits. Chose another contractor that was closer to home and who had exceptional quality including better cabinets.

"Architecture Stones were wonderful to work with. They helped us track down a very economical slab of quartzite that fit our space, and had a remnant in their yard, such that together the two pieces would cover our needs. This cut the price down and they were very helpful. They had software that allowed us to view an image of our slab + remnant with the counter footprint overlain, so that we could see how the veins of the quartzite would sit on the counters. We were able to make adjustments to the plan to get more of the veins and into view on the our island. Isaac Shon was really fun to work with and always in a great mood."

"Juan and his dad are very friendly very hard workers. On the floor refinishing. They refinished 20+ year old floors. They replaced water damaged wood. Very good job. There are sanding marks in some areas, but overall very good. They just need to slow down a little. On tile install: Looks good, but tile is not professionally level. It's nicely done, but few tiles are not well lined up, and not level. We had a very large floor area to install but I don't recall them using a level. It certainly looks good. They still need to come back and finish a few things (thresholds). I've called Juan once, but need to call him again to remind him.... I would recommend them. They are good on price, they need to slow down a bit, and finish up."

"Luis and his team remodeled our bathroom and basement. The price was very good and the work professional. Luis was engaged the whole time and his very competent team leader, Carlos was always on site. We received a fair offer and they started right away, working 6 days a week until completed. We started with just the bathroom, but like them so much we added the basement remodel also. Luis and Carlos help us pick our colors, flooring and tile. They suggested better alternatives and tweak some others areas in our house at no extra cost. We highly recommend them and will use them again for some other projects when we do them in the future."
