"I contacted Chandler Soldano when he reached out regarding a very small welding repair I needed on a small brass/copper bell (kind of a wind chime situation) that was my mother's. A small ring on the top had broken off and I could not hang it. Chandler is in San Marcos and I am in Austin. Traveling here would have been a minimum charge I did not think I could afford right now. But he said he was in Austin a lot, and could bundle my project with another one in the area to keep costs lower. I thought that was wonderful. Then, he texted me on Friday that he was unexpectedly in town and could swing by to see if he could help. I had to go into the office that day, so I left it on the porch for him to look at. A bit later, he texted me a photo of the repaired bell! I asked what the charge was and he said "it seemed to mean so much to you, just give me a good review, and that is enough." I was stunned at the kindness of a man who went out of his way and took the time to deal with my tiny project! And of course, I am going to pay him, but what an honorable man. And the bell is perfect again. I plan to share his contact information with anyone I know needing welding and metal fabrication work done. Three cheers and many thumbs-up!"

No referral or reviews to fall back on but my gut said he would do what I needed done. What a pleasant surprise. They proved they are a solid veteran owned business. "We live in South Austin. High winds broke a large tree and it fell on our 8-foot fence. The fence was pulled free from the corner post causing the fence to fall over and dislodge two of the metal posts. I had two other fence companies give bids for the repair. Neither proposal offered the services I requested. Both companies proposed more extensive work with bids from $1350 to $1500. Neither was willing to only replace the damaged posts like I asked, and they couldn’t get to a job “that small" for over three weeks. I called Mark Libby of The Fix It Man Repairs. Mark offered to come the following Wednesday to do a free estimate. I sent pictures of the damage and asked if he could give a “ball park” estimate from the pictures. I asked him to come on that day and fix the fence rather than to just make an estimate. He said he would arrive by 9 AM. He got to our house at 8:45, surveyed the damage, determined what materials would be required, and left to get materials. It turned out that ten-foot steel posts were not readily available at the home improvement stores. He called twice to assure me that he was still looking for posts and had not abandoned me. He returned about 12:30. I thought there was no way one person could finish the project by the end of the day, but I was wrong. He did an excellent job, removed all the scrap pieces, and was finished by 4:45 PM. Mark did the exact task that I had wanted and saved me a substantial amount of money. Mark does work outside of Cedar Park. I will not hesitate to call on him again for my maintenance, repair, and renovation projects. I heartily recommend him to anyone in need of a handyman. Mark knows how to fix it."

Over several years our front door began sticking and the deadbolt lock was not properly closing.  Rick came out and after several attempts to adjust the door determined that the door installation required a reinstall.  He took the frame apart and explained the poor job previously done on installation.  He re-set the door, installed insulation and reinstalled the frame.  His work quality was outstanding.  He was very responsive, timely and his price was very fair for the work that he performed.  I intend to use him again.
