"After much research and conversations with multiple contractors thankfully we ended up hiring AEC. Their communication throughout the preliminary process was superior to all of their competitors. They took the time to listen to our project needs and recommended the best course of action working with our budget. They used top of the line paints and skilled craftsmen on our job. The AEC supervisors were present at all times ensuring that everyone involved was meeting their high standards. At times even addressing minor things that were outside the scope of the job which we really appreciated. Attention to detail was key and they lived up to it. Besides the pristine paint job, we were very thankful for how delicately they handled our furniture and the great condition they left our floors in. Everything was covered and taped to ensure minimal cleanup at the end. Once the job was done we got to do a final inspection walkthrough with the supervisors. Weâ ve tried many contractors over the years and that type of attention to detail is rarely met so we were pleasantly surprised. "Two men arrived on time and went up and down a staircase to get all the stuff up in the loft. We looked at what came down and decided whether to have them put it in the dumpster they provided or if we wanted to keep it. They where fast ! They worked hard , they where polite and we thought they did a great job. We did have them come one more time for the rest of the stuff we had to get rid of. They swept up after everything was out and it was a big job. So, the price we are estimating was for two times they came .

"We arranged a day to have the work done.  Due to a rain storm, the
original day for the work to be done had to be moved on short notice. 
The communication about moving the day was via a phone call, text
message and email - which I thought was excellent. 
When the new appointment day came, the crew arrived 10 minutes early. 
Everyone introduced themselves, josh reviewed the work to be done with
me, and then with the crew.  After that the crew positioned the truck,
got out their gear and got right to work.  The trees are too big for
them to use a truck or ladders, so they used ropes to climb up into the
tree canopy (no spikes used) and started pruning and removing dead
branches.  They worked for 4 hours with no breaks, stopped for about an
hour at lunch time, then did another 2 hours.  After the trimming work,
there was a bunch of branches on the ground, which they put through
their chipper/shredder, raked up the area, and used a blower to finish. 
If you didn't know what had happened, you'd never have been able to
tell anything was previously on the lawn.
All in all - it was a quality experience.  Work was done right by a
professional crew.  Communication was excellent.  Price was fair and
reasonable.  I'd definitely be willing to hire them again."

"It went very, very well. John and his crew of men came the first day (the heavy rains day) to start the work of relieving the hydro-static pressure, which was the opposite of where I thought the water was coming into the house on rainy days. I thought it was through windows and walls. I came home holding my breath to see that despite minor flooding in parts of Brooklyn and a full day of rain the basement was dry! It was exactly what was needed; waterproofing. They came back after the holidays to complete the work of laying the drain pipes outside and were patient in explaining the work to me and what I would need to do, basically nothing as it is a self-managing system. John was not on site for the second part but his crew was very communicative and it was very easy to be in touch with John about the remaining work. They are very good about laying tarp down to keep floors safe and about clean up.
