"I am pleased to recommend International Brick and Concrete(IBC) and Rigo Ortez for all asphalt related work. My wife and I needed a driveway overlay due to severe cracking in our 20 year old+ driveway. We called and then interviewed a number of contractors from the area, none of whom were particularly responsive and all of whom were a bit evasive regarding price, specific work to be done and timing. We each separately described our feelings about these contractors as “sketchy”. Rigo was immediately different – he was obviously professional and directly answered all questions. He responded to our message within an hour, showed up to our appointment on time, answered all questions clearly and concisely, provided a proposal within a few hours of our meeting and then completed the job the following week on the day agreed. The price was lower than most of the other quotes we received and overall it was very competitively priced. The driveway work was done by Rigo and his crew exactly as described and per specifications and looks beautiful. While we don’t have direct experience with their brick and concrete work, based on the asphalt job completed for us and RIgo’s professionalism, I am confident they would provide similar quality work. "When Mr. Ricard came out, he arrived promptly and did a thorough inspection of the property. Following his inspection, he determined that the problem wasn’t my masonry but likely my roof. I truly appreciated his honesty and will definitely use him the next time I need brick work!"

"The technician, David, arrived on time, and the company gave me the heads-up beforehand that I had requested. He went right to work, looking at the clog in my dryer (it had stopped several days earlier and the fault code told me there was a blockage), and then setting up his ladder to do the cleaning from the vent outside. He explained the process so I knew what he would be doing, and didn't seem to mind that I watched him closely. First thing we saw was a sparrow fly out of the vent, so as he noted, we could expect a bird nest. He then proceeded to pull out about a foot of nest material (thankfully only one egg and no babies). After he got out all of the big stuff, he ran a brush all the way to the dryer. Running the dryer then pushed out all of the lint. He bagged up as much as he could and took it away, but a lot of it disintegrated on touch. He assured me it would disappear in the next rain, and I'm sure it will. I then asked him about installing a bird guard, and he told me how much it would be ($85) and showed it to me. I liked the design since it does not appear it will collect lint, like one I had in a previous house, and it was metal so it should last. I had him install it. He then wrote up the invoice and I happily paid ($125 for cleaning, $85 for vent). No hidden or extra charges, no attempts to upsell. He told me that they usually recommend cleaning every two years, but given our small household size, three should probably be fine. I will be in touch with SixPenny in spring 2022."

"I purchased a roof inspection and tune-up theough Angie’s list. I was contacted quickly to set up the appointment and provided a reminder prior thereto. The technician was Mike G. who called about 10 minutes before arrival. He explained what he would do, then proceeded to inspect the attic and roof, making some repairs to the roof as necessay. When completed, we sat down to review pictures and discuss options. Mike G. explained things clearly but did not pressure us to do anything at this time. When the time comes to repair or replace the roof, we will definitely contact American Home Contractors."

"Anthony, Orlando, and their crew were extremely professional.  They started by arriving early  and immediately got to work. They were extremely respectful of my house, and were careful bringing in their gear. It was raining all day, and yet, they managed to keep any water, mud, or grass from coming inside.
They took care of everything. Sanded and primed the walls, removed nails, fixed holes and seams, and carefully moved all the furniture. You couldn't ask for a better crew. Their communication was excellent and I was always aware of their progress.
Once they readied the rooms, a huge task, they meticulously primed the walls and ceiling, followed by two coats of paints on the walls and ceilings.  They took great care in making sure the paint went on smoothly and quickly.
So all the rooms were done in a day! Simply awesome results. I will hire Anthony, Orlando, and their crew for the next job, and recommend them highly.

"They did a good job. I would use them again. Only disappointment was that one of there men must have damaged one of our bushes. They did not tell us about it but we discovered it after they completed their work.

"While I love my kitchen and sunroom, I attribute a great deal of that to the constant presence and follow-up by my spouse - doing a lot of what I would expect a general contractor to do. MW is a lot better than other contractors I have had, but fell below expectations (based on reviews I read at the time of signing my contract). A lot of issues resulted from a lack of communication or miscommunication between MW and their subcontractors. We signed a contract in May 2013, expecting work to begin relatively soon. Work did not begin until after labor day. I have an extra row of lights in the kitchen due to a lack of passing design details onto the electrician, and the electrician did not put the appropriate ampage in the light switch - my spouse found this and it had to be corrected - potential hazard with an overheaded light switch! The join between the house and the addition was not done correctly. We had to have that completely redone by another roofing company. It makes me mad when contractor's work will not hold up for the long term - this had already been addressed once by MW. The AC unit in the addition was not installed correctly, resulting in a leak and subsequent repair in my brand new wall. My husband came up for many of the solutions regarding the tile installation in tricky areas. The kick in the pants was when we got a notice of a mechanics lien on our house due to lack of payment to a subcontractor (apparently the sub did not file some paperwork with the county). I know that is how things work, but I don't expect that from a contractor I selected because of a huge number of positive reviews on a site like Angie's List. I think that all reviewers should wait 6 months or a year to see how things stand the test of time before writing a glowing review."
