" He was very professional and self-sufficient throughout the entire process. He arrived right on time, brought everything he needed, and got straight to work without needing any extra direction. He fixed my drawer quickly and efficiently, with great attention to detail. Overall, he was dependable, polite, and clearly takes pride in doing quality work."

"This is the 3rd project that we have had Beyer Builders do for us and as before they did an excellent job. They are personable and communicate very well, and do a good job overseeing any sub-contractors that they use. They made excellent recommendations on where to go for flooring and tile, cabinets and vanity, etc. They also installed some of the bathroom fixtures we acquired and did quality work with good follow-up. We are pleased to have a good local contractor to use in our home repairs."

"My wife and I are extremely particular when it comes to our home.  We researched this company on Angie's List coupled with the fact that our neighbor highly recommended them as well.  We really enjoyed working with Martin as his infectious enthusiasm towards quality and customer service really stands out.  No surprises and a quality job was done.  They left no trace of building materials laying around, used high-end materials, and worked around our schedule.  Martin even came back to our house a few days later to explain a few things that we were concerned about - free of charge.  These guys are local and take a great amount of pride in their work.  We have no doubt that they will stand behind their work.  Highly recommended! <br />"

"Being an owner/builder of a new house, I got more quotes for drywall than any other service I hired out. I got quotes from $13,000, all the way to $23,000 for the same scope of work. Dave's quote was somewhere in the middle. When he contacted me about the bid, I told him I was thinking about going with someone else at the lower price range, he offered to take some money off his bid in order to win my business. The other company I was leaning towards wouldn't budge on price without removing items from the scope fo work. So Dave got the job. Previously in my build project, I had some unpleasant experiences with some of the other trades that I hired, so I was pleasantly surprised when Dave and his crew would show up early to the job, and work long hours. Unlike other trades I hired, I never had to worry about him screwing me out of any material costs, cutting corners, or constant excuses for not showing up to work on my job. Dave even accommodated my request for some unique drywalled pockets above each window to accept hidden, recessed window blinds. He did a better job than expected on these areas given the rough window framing, and protruding metal window flanges that could've potentially caused an uneven drywall finish. After the job was over, he offered to come back to do some touch up work if I noticed any blemishes or rough spots after primer had been applied. I begrudgingly took him up on this offer, and his response was eager saying that "you already paid for the job, so I'd be happy to come fix those things". From my experience, this response is shocking...usually after a contractor has been paid, you can't get them to show up for anything. He was friendly, personable, and a great guy to work with. I will be recommending to anyone I know who needs drywall work done."

"Charles took me shopping to help me make design choices and make sure we stayed on track for budget.  We had a productive day and a lot of fun buying new materials for my home.  I was included in the project every step of the way.  Really?  Who goes shopping with their customers anymore?  Wonderful experience from the begging!  Charles and his team were polite and professional and what I loved the most is they have made me feel so comfortable while performing this work in my home.  Team was on time and ready to work everyday.  No corners were cut and details were always finished perfectly. Charles and his apprentice went above and beyond whatever I originally had expected before I even knew I was going to choose him or Dream Line Remodeling LLC.   Charles knew exactly what I wanted before I even did and he was able to bring it to life with Good planning, professionalism and the spark of creativity that he has for home design!  My bathrooms are beautiful, My new fire place mantel is to die for and everything is just awesome!  Charles and his team are remodeling my kitchen now and I could not be more excited to have them here.  Kitchen Cabinets are in his shop in Rockford right now being finished!!  Stopped by just today to look at them and WOW!!    Thank you Charles and to the rest of the Dream Line Remodeling team!!  Your loyal customer for Life!!!   <br /> Karla Dobnick Roush <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Stillman Valley, IL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
