Andy re-supported the load bearing solid wall before cutting out the section we needed removed. He also cut back part of the wall on the other side of the stairway to open up the room and made it plumb so I could frame in a closet door in the future when we finish the basement. He rough drywalled the supporting post, header and remaining stairway and quot;short-walland quot; to the floor. I said I would be responsable for taping and finishing the drywall to keep my costs lower. <br /> They did everyhting they said they would and more.
