"There were some snafus as to scheduling.  The main company is in California and scheduling and original payment is handled through them.  The work was done by a company here in Houston, and there seemed to be a bit of disconnect between the two as per scheduling.  I thought we were scheduling the cleaning, but the local crew no showed or was very late and only showed up to look at the job and set another date to come back and actually clean the windows. 
The cleaning on the selected windows was ok.  The special deal was for x number of windows (I believe it was 20), and  I was a bit surprised to learn that there were additional charges for paned windows versus plain windows, some windows counted as 2 or 3 windows,  as well as screens not being included in the price.  I opted to pay an additional amount to clean additional windows and for screens to be cleaned as I didn't want to put dirty screens back over clean windows.  I also had some screen repairs done on existing frames and they were done fine.
The folks were nice and did a good job on the windows, the only problems were the scheduling changes (no shows) and the fact that there was an individual charge for each little thing as mentioned above.   I'd much rather have an all inclusive bid in the future so that I don't feel like I'm being nickle and dimed as the job proceeds. As for the scheduling, in the local company's defense, Houston is a very large city, and their main office in California who was doing the scheduling may not have realized how long their previous job would take and how long it would take them to get to my house.

"We have a rental in Lancaster, and the tenant called to say that one sprinkler zone had been running for about 2½ hours.  I tried to talk them through looking for the valve, but it wasn't successful.  I called Josh based on the stellar reviews here, and got his voicemail.  The ONLY negative thing I'll say about him is that if I hadn't read the reviews, I wouldn't have felt confident based on his outgoing message. 
When he called back (within 10 minutes, by the way) those less-than-confident feelings were completely assuaged.  He just happened to be very close to our property, and said he'd stop there on his way to his next job.  He was there in 5 minutes.
He shut the valve off, and called to tell me that it was a bad solenoid, and also another valve was leaking.  I told him that I knew he had another job to go to, and that I had a regular gardener who could make the repairs on his next trip.  I thanked him for the speedy trip, and asked him how he'd like to settle up, i.e. credit card, check etc.  He said, "If your gardener can do the repairs, then don't worry about it, you don't have to pay me, I was right here."

"Choice was fast, efficient, and kept me posted on the progress of the claim. Although the water leak issue was discovered on a Friday, they had a plumber there to investigate by Saturday morning. When it was determined that the 20+ year old heater needed to be replaced, the replacement ordered, on-site, and installed by Wednesday morning. I am glad that we opted for the Choice Ultimate plan as other than the initial $65 service fee, all but one $50 ancillary expense was covered."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
