"Last fall, we faced a big challenge in our 1962 home – how to remodel both our bathrooms. Seventeen years ago, we used Kitchen Plus for a major expansion and remodel of our kitchen that resulted in a stunning and effective space (which we still get compliments on today!). So, we decided to turn to Kitchen Plus for our current bathroom remodel projects. Amazingly, the same designer we used for our kitchen is still on staff. We enjoyed working with David Pausau for the kitchen and were happy to leverage his insightful approach for the bathrooms. We are now several weeks into the first bathroom’s remodel and can’t be more excited about how the project is going. This bathroom has numerous design and engineering challenges. Our Kitchen Plus project manager, Jeremy Alcantara, is outstanding. We’ve done many remodel projects in our home over the last 28 years and we’ve never worked with such a professional project manager. He is effectively managing the timeline and all the specialists who have part of the project. It’s like a ballet! Jeremy's own contributions in the construction are extremely high quality. He demonstrates professionalism in every aspect, and we appreciate the respect he shows for the project, the materials and our home. He is a great communicator and very dependable. Most importantly for our difficult bathroom, he is a great problem solver! He has an eye for design and engineering, and we’ve learned for every challenge uncovered he comes with solutions for consideration and collaboration in decision making. We can’t wait to see the final bathroom, and to get started on the next! Update: Both bathrooms are now complete – and gorgeous! The first word anyone says who sees them is “wow” (especially those who know what we started with!). On time, on budget – and with great quality. We are delighted with the final bathrooms. We have great respect for Jeremy, our project manager. Not only were his contributions to the bathrooms excellent, but he also managed all the specialists – sheetrock, tile, plumbing, electrical, and more. He ensured all aspects of the project where of high quality, both in passing inspections and also beauty and functionality. "I liked Alex as a person, I was very happy with how much care and knowledge he brought to the table, and he pulled things off with quite a lot of precision and care. Let's put it this way: I had Alex work on a series of problem areas in the house.
I had a utility faucet that was dripping, he inspected the hoses and replaced the faucet. No problem. I had a couple of electrical boxes that weren't working, or were dislodged. He replaced the dimmer (asked for), and corrected things. I had some issues in the plaster, some drywall exposure where I'd had minor water damage. He cut it out and applied mud. I had a garage door with a big gap at the bottom, where I wanted a door sweep. He chose a high end sweep, cut it to perfect size, and put it right where he needed. I had issues where I wanted to do some weatherization, he took care of some problem area.
And he did everything with care and skill. I've more projects on the way, and I've already asked for work from him again.

"It is whoever they contract with. I pay monthly almost $40.00 but it includes both repair and replacement. This is for all appliances. I have a lot of old appliances in my home. I thought I would be using them a lot. I have not had not used them alot. I have 2 furnaces and they did replace one of them."

"I had a great experience working with Mike, Ken, Keren and the Palm Construction crew on the remodel of my 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in San Francisco. They did major work on my bathroom (completely gutted it) and kitchen (beautiful new cabinets and countertop/backsplash) with updated plumbing and electricity. They also installed recessed light in all the rooms and updated the floors throughout. My apartment feels so much more spacious and light, and I love being home. Every person I interacted with was professional and kind. Mike was extremely patient with me and my countless questions along with mini anxiety attacks as this was my first remodel. Ken was also very communicative and between him and Mike, I felt like I was in the care of friends. The designer they work with, Keren, is also amazing, kind and has fantastic taste. One of the most impressive parts (among many) is that they were able to complete all this work in six weeks, all up to SF code, and would have been faster had shelter in place not started. I highly recommend Palm Construction and would work with them again in the future!"

"We were happy with the work. Ryan was good to work with as far as picking out materials, making suggestions, he corrected issues while we were working with them. For example, we had picket out a certain type of faucet for the marble top, and we had ordered the wrong counter tops, and he went back and got a replacement. All that went well, and for what we had done, we were not discouraged by the work or anything. There was an issue afterwards that we had a problem with. One of our requirements in the bid was, that we needed to have some doors changed on a hallway closet. When he bid on the job, he said he would take car of that as part of his bid on the bathroom. There were 2 closets which needed the doors. We have a door that doesn't shut properly,and the grout on the tile that is opening up. We called him multiple times after the job was done, to fix the closet doors, and we sent him emails, but he never once returned the calls. Once he had the money, he wouldn't return our phone calls. He himself said he would come back and fix the closets when we were paying him, and we had to special order the doors. We had somebody else come and put the doors. The after experience left a sour taste in our mouth. Angie's List was important to him, he stated that,  and that is how we found him. We noticed that his guy was cleaning his paint brushes in our bathroom sink, and we are on a well. We had to clean up the mess from our sink, so we wondered what it was doing to our well."

"We had to have the repairs done as soon as possible. Lee was very good about fitting us in and letting us know when he would be there. He even worked weekends to complete the projects in time. The drywall patch is invisible. He had to reset & reseal the window to avoid future water problems and replace ship lap and siding. He explained what and why, and did a beautiful job. I am very pleased with his workmanship and cleanup. I'm working on my list of future projects."
