He was pleasant, friendly, and gave me a reasonable ballpark quote (assuming no major problems). It was not the lowest estimate to do the job, but I wanted it done right. He arrived right on time. The only part of the job that went smoothly was the bathroom faucet replacement, and it went quickly. The kitchen sink partial-clog turned out to be several heavy accretions of hardened grease in one eight-foot section of pipe that had become CONcretions over the years -- some of the grease had come from previous owners...and likely some from us. He tried the big power-snake twice, but couldn't force the gizmo (heavy steel screw-spring) through the blockage. He slithered into the crawlspace to see if there were some abnormality in the pipes...nope. So up he came -- he took off the gizmo, and forced the bare cable-end through the blockages, back and forth several times -- ran the water to see if the blockage was gone...nope, even worse than before (he felt that some of the smaller blockages had moved, become a "log-jam"). He tried it again with the gizmo...nope. At this point he said there were only two good solutions: (a) cut out and replace the section of pipe with the hardened blockages; and (b) bring in the cavalry with special equipment and do a "hydro-jet" clean out -- both these processes would more than double his original bid. But just to be sure, he tried it once more with just the bare snake-end. And lo & behold, the blockage was gone! ...I hope. Raman said it could come back, and we could do the hydro-jet operation, if needed. Then he rebuilt a toilet (several small problems). The bolts holding the tank on were so bad he had to use a sawzall to cut them off. He replaced all the parts, installed the new flush mechanism, and it is now as silent as can be. Hallelujah! With all the problems he encountered, I expected a demand (or request) for more money. Nope. He stuck with his original bid. As I said at the top, his wasn't the low bid. But he did all the work correctly, kept everything spotless clean, and was friendly and cheerful throughout. Without any hesitation, I strongly recommend this company in general, and Raman in particular."

"I payed $4k for them to start connecting my sewer on about Aug. 22. When I called them on Sept 1 to see if they had ordered a needed part to get started, they said they had not got my check yet. The next day they said, *oh we just got it in the mail*. Really? Now it is Sept 8 and they still have not contacted me to say they are ready to start. "Anthony, the plumber that came out and performed the work was great, he was on-time, friendly, and overall very pleasant and knew his job well. He performed the work needed and got everything fixed up and we were able to turn our water back on. The price for the repair, however, was huge. Unfortunately it was a main line in the house and really was an "emergency" repair so I expected it to not be cheap, but nearly $1000 for a valve and a fitting replacement. Yes, I appreciate that they were able to get someone out same day but there is no way the technician made anywhere near that for the hour and half he was there. This company is banking on this kind of situation."
