He diligently inspected the issue with my garage door, explained the issue clearly and concisely and advised on cost without being pushy to initiate the repair. I had several companies provide an assessment (all of the price estimates were within a few dollars, except for one that tried to upsell). Ecostar / Mike was, in my view, the best. He had the repair completed quickly and tested out the garage door several times to ensure that there were no lingering issues. There were none. "My call was answered promptly. Ken was very professional and congenial. He asked several questions to ascertain the issue with my garage door and gave me a ballpark on what might be going on and the options available. He indicated that I may not need a new opener motor and said if that was still an interest after the service tech looked at it and gave an estimate, he could have one on the truck just in case. He also summarized the motors he carries, price points, and features so I could be aware of them. I asked about this....it wasn't a sales pitch of any sort ( which I greatly appreciated). Ken answered a lot of questions in language that was easy to understand. The service tech, Spencer, was in the area and able to get to my job within two hours. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and congenial. When I asked, He explained the parts and function of the door and opener in a way that I could make an informed decision on whether to replace the opener. I learned a lot about this AND did not end up getting a new opener motor. It appears to me that Ponderosa wants their customers to understand the options available as well as provide the information to make a decision on repair or replace. There was absolutely no pressure to go one way or another. I am impressed with their service, integrity, and responsiveness. I was delighedt that this turned out to be easy, quick, and affordable. I highly recommend Ponderosa and will do business with them when the time comes to replace the motor!

"I hired David to replace my old basic garage door with a new insulated one. He did fantastic work quickly at a very reasonable price with the utmost courtesy. David responded to my initial inquiry in an hour on Wednesday afternoon. As soon as I gave him dimensions, he sent a picture and quote of a door he had in stock that fit what I wanted. He came out to do a site eval first thing Friday morning, and performed the work first thing on Tuesday morning after a holiday weekend. Start-to-finish, including removal of the old door, he was done in less than three hours. He also went above and beyond to make the whole finished product look professional. The previous owners had installed the old door in a DIY fashion. The automatic opener was missing a light cover and had wires hanging out, and the keypad was missing a battery cover. David found and installed a replacement light cover and battery cover and cleaned up the wiring at no extra cost. I recommend David to anyone needing garage door service."
