"Larry was prompt in returning my call, provided an ETA, which he meet. Larry repaired the pipes and left the site clean. Larry had the materials he needed to complete the job and didn’t have to leave and make a second trip. (And 2nd charge.) He was very personable and professionally dressed. I have already shared his contact information with three friends! "

"I initially had a technician come to troubleshoot why my A/C wasn't working right and was informed that I had no coolant left in my upstairs unit. The tech filed the unit with coolant and told me that my coil was probably leaking. He said he could run a diagnostic test that would confirm the leak but it would cost around $150. He suggested that it was more likely than not leaking and that he would hate to charge me for the test just to confirm what he suspected. <br /> BJ was the salesman as well as came to oversee the progress as the job took two full days. When BJ came out to give me options on what I needed to replace the horribly cheap and inefficient units that were installed when the house was built, he was prompt and spent more than an adequate amount of time talking to me about the different options and financing, as well as walked me through what would need to be done both inside and outside. (I had another company come and give me quotes on Carrier brands and they were about $4000 more with the same types of units and comparable work.) He was extremely knowledgeable and understanding. He fielded my many questions while he was there as well as the week following while I was making my mind up on which company to go with and what systems to have installed. He even reduced the price of the install I paid for the earlier service call! This was an incredible gesture and really hooked me on the honesty and integrity of this company. Basically he made it so I didn't pay for the service call because they were coming to take the old units out. I ended up with a complete Trane System that is super quiet and very efficient. Installed a 15 SERE A/C, 95% efficient gas furnace, and 16 SERE A/C and heat pump with an air handler that works amazingly well. The new systems run well and we have had zero issues or problems since installation. We no longer have hot/cold spots in the upstairs and do not even hear the units running while sitting downstairs. <br /> During the installation, the techs were very friendly and were nice enough to explain things as they went. I am the type that wants to know whats going on and why etc. The install went well and they worked for two days 8:30-4:30 solid. The only thing that I had issue was with the clean-up. Overall it was good, they just left a few little things around like a few pieces of the furnace exhaust pipe that were cut, some metal duct tape balls and some stuck to spots in the basement with a few other little things. <strong><em> I am super and quot;nit pickyand quot; and do not let this distract from the wonderful and attentive service they provide.</em></strong> I recommend this family company to anyone and everyone. I will use them for any issue's I have in the future. Thank you BJ and American Air, the level of service you provide is rare in today's world. <br />"

"It was good. We only had one small complaint. The connection to the gas line had a leak. We called at 10:30pm at night, they told us a dispatcher was close. But they never came by. I called them, I had to call them three times that night. They did come to fix it the next morning. They were apologetic. The quality of the installation and the work was good."

"There was quite a delay in getting the heat pump put in because of the arctic blast that came through. They were quite busy. There was a month delay between the time I called them and they time they were able to come out -- they originally said that it would only be a week, and we had to delay it by a week on our end as well."

"After dealing with two other horrendous companies, Southeast Air finally turned out to be a great choice. They came exactly when they said they would and were able to give me a quote and install the line in the same day. Mike Morgan, the technician who helped me, was extremely nice and informative and did a great job. <br />"

"We've used Best Plumbing for more than 10 years. They are always punctual and reliable with solid estiamtes and service. The only time we had a problem with work that they had done they came right out and fixed the situation at no charge to us. I would recomend them to anyone needing a plumber in this area. <br /> This particular instance they repaired a toilet and an outdoor faucet, both of which were leaking. They were prompt, timely, and the work was great. Very neat, no tracking of dirt into the house, no problems at all. <br />"

"Initially I requested the systems original installer to come out to fix, but not only did he only do what was in effect a temporary fix (THREE DIFFERENT TIMES IN ONE WEEK and didn't even bother to call or return on the fourth call!) that he considered permanent (unfreezing and restarting the unit), he also missed the excruciatingly obvious issues that the gentleman from Reliable spotted almost immediately as he began diagnosing the problem.  The first was a wire that had no cap and was lying against the packing paper and plastic in the interior of the outside unit.  The wire had burned a hole in the plastic and surrounding metal of the cover.  The connection itself was cripy fried - both the tech and I were thanking God that a fire had not started in the unit.  The Reliable tech stripped off the bad coating and recovered the wires as well as put a new connection and cap on it.  Then he dug out the pipe that was supposed to be the run-off - apparently it had been planted into the ground as opposed to on top of it.  He then went inside under the house to where the upstairs zone system was and immediately came back with a serious issue - part of the wiring was done backwards - so when the system was openning it was actually supposed to be closed and vice versa.  Since we had just purchased the house in November, we had never really given the air conditioning portion of the system a workout and because it was upstairs and my boys use very heavy blankets, they never really complained about it being too cold during the winter months either.  However, we quickly realized that the upstair system never really worked properly when the downstairs unit was active.  Anyway, the Reliable tech also fixed the wiring there and after both were fixed and he explained how to optimally use a zone system, we have never had another issue.  Not only did he come out early Sunday morning to get it done (after I had gone back and forth for nine days with the other people), but he actually GOT IT DONE THE FIRST TIME.  Now the only problem we have is it is too cold for both the up and downstairs and we have to keep both turned up to 77 to not freeze!  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the great folks at Reliable!  I will never use anyone else. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Tunnel Hill, GA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
