"Rittinger responded quickly. Alan, the tradesman they sent over was professional and quick. I hired them to install a clothes dryer vent and to open up a vent in my garage for the hot water heater. The work was high quality and installation was clean."

"His work is really good. I've hired him for a few different jobs. Just recently he replaced my security door and a few of my exterior windows. He is now my Go-To-Handyman."

"Daniel did a fine job. Wow, what a Difference. Going from twenty year old Philips tubes TV - very heavy - to the high resolution HD Best Buy "Insignia" 32 inch TV. The old TV died two days ago. This was a big deal in my life, switching TVs. This all got done more simply than I imagined. Set up new TV with take away old TV."

"My experience with Air Quality and Matt Farber was one my best contractor experience ever. I contacted Matt based on a reference from a former co-worker. I liked her reasoning as to why she chose Matt and his company and he did not let me down. When Matt came, his first action was to review each room in our home, discuss our living style, etc. It was obvious he was interested in doing what was best for us and not just selling a heating system. He took the time to show me various types of heaters and air conditions explaining the pros and cons of each, he explained to me the difference between stage and variable speed with their pros and cons and how they work. I knew I had to replace my ducts and choose to relocate them to better locations. Matt walked the house as we discussed best location and style. I wanted air conditioning but my available space is very limited. Matt went around the house looking at different locations, measured and provided options of different sizes
explaining pros, cons of the units and locations.
Matt gave me quotes on the various units, etc that interested me. He did not push me to make a choice right away and did not push for the most expensive or easiest for his firm. When I sent emails to him with questions or asking for quotes for other options, he was patient and provided the information in a timely manner. I did get other estimates from other reputable
companies. I compared them very closely and it confirmed I was making the best decision for me with Air Quality. Matt was a ?one-stop? shop. He arranged and scheduled the Bayren inspections, the asbestos abatement, the painter to repair the holes in the wall (relocation of registers), , inspection, etc. He worked with my schedule and was a great help. The installers were wonderful!! When I changed my mind about something or asked for a relocation of some elements, they politely did as I asked with a smile. Extremely professional and pleasant workers.
Both Bayren and the city inspector commented on the job. I heard the inspector say more than once ?nice job? ?nice clean job?. I am a rather pickyand exacting person who asks questions. These people exceeded my expectations. That is saying a lot!! Yes, everything passed inspection the first time with no problem.
A week after everything was done, he came to the house to make sure we were happy with everything. He checked to see if I wanted the thermostat adjusted and took time to show me once again how to program it. Now that is customer service!!
"

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"While we didn't have appliances other than the refrigerator temporarily in the dining room, and no water in the kitchen, we ate breakfast cereals, and depended on ready prepared items like grilled chicken, grilled vegetables, salads etc. purchased at local grocery stores when we didn't eat out. Dennis helped us procure the kitchen sink and faucet when it was obvious that I wasn't aware of local code requirements. He was present for all inspections required by city code.

I've always loved anything to do with cooking, so I have spent decades reading cookbooks, and magazines and books about kitchen design, and have cooked in kitchens that lacked counter space, or storage, or were generations old. I've never even hoped to have a kitchen as beautiful or as well designed as my new kitchen is. Never thought I would have quartz counters (marble stains, needs to be resealed regularly), soft close drawers and cabinet doors, corner turntables in the lower cabinets that move each shelf independently of the other. I am in love with my kitchen!

The same counter and cabinets were installed in the laundry/powder room with the same easy glide shelves. Dennis enlarged the "closet" for the washer and dryer as those appliances are larger than they were 24 years ago. He put good quality bifold doors up for me. The man who refinished our parquet flooring, the electrician, the man who cut and installed our Quartz counters and backsplashes, all were excellent workmen. The crew Dennis uses daily is comprised of men he has employed for years, and whom he trusts. Dennis was here every day, either doing work or making sure his crew knew what to do, and later that they had complied with his instructions. It wasn't unusual for the men to discuss things by phone with him.

Now our en suite bathrooms desperately need to be remodeled. We will hire Dennis again.

If you have lived in your home for decades and have every kitchen tool and appliance known to man, make sure you discuss how many cubic feet of storage you have and how much you really need. Plan on achieving the amount and placement of light you need, what local codes require with respect to counter height, space between the counter and upper cabinets, how much counter space you need. I've downsized my cookbooks, discovered that living in a home for decades actually requires that you use all canned goods even if they are tucked way back in a corner because emptying your old cupboards may result in some unpleasant surprises. My new kitchen storage is far more accessible than those old cupboards were. It took awhile to adjust to where things are in my new kitchen because kitchen design has come a long way. I asked for LED lights, easy glide shelves, and maintenance-free counters. I have my own "clean, well lighted place." (Thank you Ernest Hemingway!)

"

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Union City, CA

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
