"Travis spend a great deal of time working with our insurance company to save us approximately $10,000 in repairs due to hail damage we weren’t aware we even had on our roof. Incredibly helpful, courteous, and easy to work with. I have been 100% pleased with this company!"

"Upon uncovering a leak during a rain, I emailed Maximus Contracting through Angie's List. They were my 3rd email sent but the previous 2 had other things going on and couldn't accommodate the 1-2 day appointment I needed to prevent further leak damage. Eric (Owner) was very responsive and responded to my email quickly. Upon return call, he said he could have someone there that day. Leo arrived and immediately assessed the situation and explained the required repairs to me. Upon his call to Eric and then Eric's call to me to discuss the repair cost, I was very satisfied with the agreed-to price. Eric even had Leo caulk the vent above the garage with no increase in cost. Leo left to get materials and returned in about 20 minutes. The actual repairs took him about 1.5 hours and after cleaning up, he was there for about 3 hours. The weather looked like rain and it did rain that evening and the next day, so I am grateful to Eric for answering my email and acting promptly. I will go back to Maximus General Contracting for any future home repairs.

"Dustin completed a beautiful job and went above and beyond when he found and resolved unhidden issues. He repaired a horrible crack in a living room wall due to settling and the entire work done was done with detail and precision. He completed the work with the care and diligence as if he was completing it for himself. It is difficult to find others who work hard and with pride like Dustin does. He will always be my “go to” for helping me keep my home looking beautiful!"

"The first time it was $21,000, then we had them do some additional...they gave us an estimate, I think of around $6000 and honestly we haven't paid them because they haven't finished. They seemed very professional. I thought they would do an excellent job. They could match our color scheme. This is in a company that is warranted, life time paint, never have to paint again and if we do, we'll come out time and time again to do it. So the idea was great and we had been having to paint the brand new home every year. We were tired of that and they seemed like they could do a great job and the product seemed very good. We had them paint it the first time and we had room additions added and they painted that. It seemed very good and very professional. They painted some things that they shouldn't have like the windows, so it is hard to close them. Overall they did a decent job but then the last time they came out to do some repair work, they actually did some construction in addition to the painting and then they didn't match the paint colors correctly. They didn't finish the repair work, where they thought they might have finished it, it wasn't as it was before architecturally, aesthetically pleasing anymore. I had a punch out list and I said, this is all the punch out list that needs to be addressed. They said something about, okay they'll take care of it but they never scheduled a time or place to review the punch out list or to schedule to get them fixed. We have been calling and they've not been returning our calls. We thought they were out of business actually. Then last year all of our windows sills rotted and again, with the paint that wouldn't have happened. We replaced all of our windows. The window company actually reached out to Hoosier Permanent Coatings  and they are still in business as you probably found them in your system. They said well because we didn't pay them that last amount our, warranty is null and void. So we've been trying to call them, we leave messages and they don't call us back. If we talked to them maybe this thing can be settled."

"I have mixed feelings about this company, but I think the bottom line is the customer service after the sales in very poor at best.  I purchased a home that had a Champion enclosed sunroom that was approximately 10 years old.  I discovered that the sliding glass door and one of the sliding windows would come off their track and could (and did) fall inward due to the settling patio foundation.  Of course this wasn't Champion's fault, but I thought they could send someone out to take a look at it, and advise me on how to fix the problem and perhaps even have a solution to fix this safety hazard.
I began calling in May (even though their records indicate June) and received a variety of excuses, lies, and run a round from this company.  I was told they called but got an out of service number, family members of installers passed away, too busy to get to you just yet and on and on and on.  I called them every 2 weeks and began keeping records of who I spoke to and what they said. They either put me off saying they would call in 2 weeks or someone wasn't in the office but they would put me at the top of the list and have them call me in a couple of days.  This went on for 4 MONTHS!!!!!!  I did my level best to be polite and friendly each and every time I called knowing that my problem wasn't through any fault of their own, but that their poor customer service was entirely their fault.  Finally on my last phone call, I asked the office manager for the general manager's name and told her that if I did not receive a call by the promised time I was calling back to talk to the GM.  Low and behold a timely call back, followed up by a scheduled appointment, followed up by a timely appointment.  Coincidence?  I think not after reading other people's reviews on this site.
The gentlemen that came to my house were extremely polite, and knowledgeable.  After showing them the issue, they began working on some things to make adjustments and within an hour, they had fixed those problems and adjusted all the window latches and ensured all was in working order like true professionals.  They then told me that I would be charged $75 for the service call.  Given that they repaired a real safety hazard to my family, I don't find the cost to be unreasonable; however, at no time did anyone from the office tell me there was going to be any type of charge what so ever.  This I have a problem with.  Wonder if they would mind if I wait 4 months to pay them??
While I didn't purchase this product initially for my home, I get the distinct impression this is just another one of those companies with a fancy website, a hard sell, and absolutely no follow on customer service.  I waited 4 freaking months for 1 hour of the company's time and hand full of self-taping screws.  How do these people stay in business?  Absolutely no pride in their product at all.  I sincerely think the folks who came to repair my sunroom should be promoted to run the Indianapolis shop and the folks in charge of running the shop should let one of those 100+ lbs doors hit them in the head like it did me.
I absolutely wouldn't recommend Champion to anyone, however I would hire or give positive references to the guys who came out and fixed the darn thing anytime!!!!!  The folks running the Champion company are anything but champions!!!!!!
UPDATE:
Seems un-CHAMPION has no issues with follow-up when it comes to billing.  I was called the day after service about the bill and asked if I would like to pay with a credit card, of course I said NO.  The very next day, I received the paper bill.  Since then I have received two more phone calls about the bill and it hasn't even been 30 days yet.  So they do have my phone number and my phone does work--huh?!?  Of course I will pay, but my motivation to move on this actions lacks; similar to un-CHAMPIONS willingness to do their work.  Margin must be real tight with these guys.

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Upland, IN

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
