"They arrived promptly when expected and executed the work to my complete satisfaction. The injection holes for the lifting foam don't stand out too badly and they only had to drill a few of them. The sidewalk was lifted to its proper height. After the lift, the sealing was applied and coated with quartz sand, more attractive than the original black material."

"From the initial phone call to the completion of the job Quality 1st provided top notch professional service. A couple points which makes this easy to write. Communication is key whether in person or via telephone and Q1 was exceptional in this regard at every point. Telephone conversations with customer services was pleasant and cordial, never rushed or snotty. Paul our salesman was here for quite a while answering questions and assessing our needs in the basement. Of only was he on time for our appointment he was about 10 minutes early too. The cost of this project was a good chunk of change for us but after too many times of shop-vac’ing water we knew it was time to bite the bullet and move forward with making life a little easier and not have the issue of when will we get water in the basement again hanging over our heads. I was impressed that Quality 1st uses their own products and has their own R&D facilities. As for the installation, enough cannot be said for the crew that was here. I got the call at 9am they would be here in 20 minutes and at 9:20 they were backing in my driveway. I met the foreman Mario and his 2 helpers. We went into the basement and they looked around and asked if I had any questions. We had almost everything out of the basement and what was left they covered in plastic. By 9:50am they were running the jackhammers. We have a 1,500 sqft ranch and these guys worked all day, they didn’t stop and worked their tails off. I can’t remember exactly when the jackhammer stopped but by 2 pm the channel was dug out and they were beginning to lay out for the channel that carries the water to the sump. About 4pm Kyle showed up to assess the job and see if I had any questions or concerns. We spoke about the job and we went downstairs to see the progress. He stayed on site for about 45 minutes after making sure I was comfortable with how the job was going. By 5:15 or so the job was completely finished. Before they left Mario went over everything regarding the sump system. As far as cleanup, this is a dusty job. Concrete dust is ultra fine and they did a fantastic job of not only sweeping but they also dusted off areas which were not covered in plastic. They left no mess to speak of., I was very satisfied with their work and attention to detail. It’s easy to nitpick any job at anytime and there is nothing I would call them out on. Finally as for the functionality of the sump system I wish I had a comment on that at this time. We’ve lived in our house for 25 years and until around Thanksgiving of this year (2018) we’ve only had water about 4 times. Between Thanksgiving (2018) and New Years (2019) we got slammed 4 times and nothing since. With the symptoms of how our basement got water, I feel comfortable with the system Quality 1st installed and am confident they will stand behind their work and warranty. We’re also happy this is transferable to the next homeowner when we sell the house and it is an excellent selling point when the time comes."

"Hiring Chris to do the job was the right choice; it was a positive experience from start to finish. The work was complicated by its position over the creek and the age of the stone. Chris knew exactly how to tackle the job. He painstakingly restored the damaged bridge to its original condition, then went a step further by directing the water runoff. He is completely professional in his timely responses, cost quote and in keeping to his timeframe, even with inclement weather. I highly recommend Chris Basile and wish I could find a craftsman of his caliber for every project!"

"I don’t know how they could get much better than Denis and his company Philadelphia Brick and Stone Pointing. We did a LOT of research and got a number of estimates before deciding to hire Denis. We could not be more pleased with that decision. He was highly responsive; knew how to properly handle brick and stone work at our historic old property; worked to match the mortar material, color(s) and pointing technique; price was more than fair; and all work was done on time to a high standard. Denis clearly cares about his customers and the quality of his work. He is skilled, personable, incredibly hard-working, and went above and beyond. We not only hired him once, but twice, and hope we never have to use anyone else. There is a reason all his reviews are 5 stars. Add our 5 stars to the list!"

"We are first time homeowners and had a clogged pipe that resulted in water damage in the basement and damage to our roof from a storm within a few month period. We've never had to file a claim before or deal with this level of damage, and I didn't know where to start (do I call the insurance company, how do I navigate the process?). A friend who had worked with Funari in the past recommended them to me. I'm so glad they did! They did all the work, talked me through the process, and handed me a check at the end. They are professional, competent, and definitely worth their fee. Highly recommend!"

"The backyard blew away our expectations and we would HIGHLY recommend using JMJ Landscaping. We had a loose vision for the backyard and Jason took that vision to the next level recommending innovative approaches to some of the key aspects of the yard including a unique approach to the built in seating, an accent wall with lighting, hooking up the fireplace, paver design, etc. In addition, there was excellent responsiveness and oversight of the project by the Owner, Jason, and that carried over to his team who had great attention to detail and took great pride in their work. We have had a number of different contractors work on our house and JMJ by far was one of the most professional and responsive and all while delivering a high quality end product. Thanks JMJ! <br />"

"<br /> Basements Love US came out in a terrible rain storm to address a water leak in my concrete basement. They identified two areas of trouble; my patio slab connected to the back of my basement and two vertical cracks 10 feet high.  They poured concrete and replaced the slab including a bell drain for drainage which came out very nice. Even built a stair that leads to the sliding glass patio.  They repaired the vertical crack by digging down to the bottom of my wall (excavated) and they used this waterproof gel, then filled the space back with dirt. It looks very nice. The waterproofing and concrete work came with a warranty which gave me comfort. They also sprayed the basement with a mold remediation product and did an OZONE treatment to purify the air. FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Upper Darby, PA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
