"Collier and Cruz did a great job leveling my driveway and pool deck patio as well as sealing concrete joints. Very professional and personable. Explained the process and goals very clearly and made sure we were satisfied with work before leaving. I highly recommend Groundworks and I would request Collier and Cruz !"

"I was losing confidence in the integrity of my home until Hercules stopped the settling of our slab foundation and reversed some of the damage caused by an uneven slab. Specifically, in my own living room, I was not supposed to be watching a 20 foot long crack develop in the ceiling and then expand to 1/4 inch wide. But on the day of the foundation lift, 2 dramatic improvements took place as the team of foundation experts hydraulically re-leveled the South end of the house. The wide gap in living room ceiling closed! A couple of inside doors all of a sudden latched for the first time in more than seven years! We feel like we can re-paint again inside, because results of painting will no longer be undone by future settling and cracking. Installing foundation support pillars underneath residence is no small matter, but after receiving 2 independent assessments documenting our tilted foundation I was confident that something had to change. Allen Alexander worked with us persistently until the project was done. Velocity of cleanup the day after the foundation lift was amazing. Allen responded quickly to my inputs. We opted for a comprehensive one-time reinforcement of our entire foundation. Some shrubs were lost and the foundation repair disrupted our lives for a few days, but I will no longer get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach every time additional foundation shift occurs. Complexity of the effort by Hercules was significant. We not only enjoy a level foundation now, but also took care of long delayed repairs to both bathrooms in our residence. Broken sewer pipes underneath the foundation are challenging to access. For a foundation repair company accessing pipes near the exterior of the residential foundation is a practical solution."

"We had a rather extensive cavity develop under pea gravel patio due to erosion and animal activity. The Baird rep was very professional and quoted the job and work was completed on time and on budget. Mario and Gabe did an outstanding professional job with 100% cleanup. Great company to do business with."

"The day of the repair I would have given them an A+. About a week after the repair rain washed the fill dirt which was not packed in tightly and we had to hire someone to bring in dirt and pack it better. Other than that they did a good job. They even made a special effort to schedule the work swiftly as time was of the essence for us. Overall a good choice and would hire them again."

"I think they did a pretty satisfactory job. I haven't heard my parents complain about it at all. Each house is going to be different for price because ours required about $1000 per whatever you call it that they stick in the ground. It's like a thousand for one of those and we only required 8 because only one side of our house was sinking. If someone's was worse, it could get a lot higher. If someone's wasn't as bad it could be a lot lower. They poured concrete and they leveled. Mainly the job was leveling the house. They ripped up a bunch of, like they took up a lot of the grass and dug giant holes. They would rip these holes out and install. They did a bunch of concrete work, used a bunch of jacks to build giant holes. It was pretty loud. There probably a crew of like like 6-8 of them. I guess you could call it excavating. They did the job right and my dad initially thought it was going to be a lot more expensive than they quoted us he was happy with it. What stood out was I thought is was pretty cool how they did it. I didn't realize that that was an issue until our front door opened and we had sunken. I thought it was interesting. They didn't stay longer, it didn't feel like that they were taking their time with it. They seemed efficient. Just kind of makes me mad at the original builders. They guy was saying it would have cost them $2000 dollars extra when they built the house to go down to the bedrock but instead they just went with what the code said and the code doesn't require them to go down to the bedrock and they tried to pinch as many pennies as they can. But it was interesting. I liked watching them work. I don't know much about the pricing but I know my dad thought it would be like $20,000 and it ended up being $8,000. I think they warranty it for like 20 years or so. I think they came and took some measurements, told us how many they thought were going be needed, gave us an estimate of how much it was going to cost, then scheduled the date and came the date they were supposed to come. Then they had a plumber come the next day. They told us they were going to send a plumber the next day to make sure nothing happened with our lines because house moving. They said the plumber would be there anytime between 8 and 12. They guy came right at 8. They kept their word that they were going to send the plumber. They didn't move around any of the dates. They're very respectful and stuff. They lets us watch them and explain exactly what was happening, you know, show us the measurements after it was done, how the house was level now and kind of just explain the whole process. I would say they were very professional and seem to know what they were doing. In the future, if I had a house that needed foundation work in Austin, I would stick with what I know, so I'd go with them for sure."

"I enjoyed working with this company. What better company to dig under my house than a foundation repair company, that know where to and where not to dig. They worked quickly and I was able to stay in my house while the work was being done. They dug from the outside of my house and went under the foundation. They made it quick and easy for the plumber to get in and do their job, too. They are honest, and only did the work that needed to be done. I highly recommend these folks!"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Uvalde, TX

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
