"We had a shower and bathroom floor where the grout was old and dirty. Curtis came in and did a great job cleaning and restoring it to brand new. He was on time, hard working, and the end result looks great. We will definitely use their services again."

"I purchased this company's Angie's List Deal in May, 2015.  Franco responded very quickly following the purchase and called to schedule time to measure my kitchen for backsplash installation.  I had a sample of the tile at that time, so he was able to provide a list of supplies needed (mastic, grout, etc.)  I told him the tile was special order and I wasn't sure of when it would be in stock.  Franco followed up regularaly to check the status.  The tile was FINALLY delivered mid-July.  Franco worked with me (he even offered to install on a Sunday! on an installation date.  He arrived on July 27 promptly as promised at 9:00 a.m. and worked non-stop until 5:00 p.m. (didn't even take a break) to complete the job.  The result is beautiful and I would strongly recommend Forever Showers Tile & Stone to anyone!

"Chuck was awesome. Very responsive and professional. Came to the house on time and did an awesome job on the carpets. I had him come back to do the hardwood floors and all the tile in my home. The tile was unrecognizable when he finished. What a difference. I have a 5,000 sq ft. House and he cIeaned the entire floor surface including a bar top for me. will definitely have him come back for more work. Highly recommend."

"Went over and above what was expected.  We were on a time crunch and they even worked late into the evening to finish in time for us to stay on schedule.  Everyone was very helpful and accommodating, especially John and Joel!

"Outstanding. From the time that we ordered the material at the office with Teri, things went smoothly. Teri and her associates knew their products and were able to steer us in the correct direction as to what we wanted and needed. Their prices were comparable or better than all the other providers we checked in the area, and their selection was great. After we picked out our materials, Rafael was sent out to make templates. Rafael was extremely knowledgeable (he is also an engineer) and completed the templates in short order. Our next stop was at the fabricator shop, where Donnie focused on the minute details that can make or break a project. Donnie spent just a few minutes talking things over with us and knew exactly what we wanted. He brought the slabs out for our inspection and let us show him how we would like the slabs cut to show off the parts of the stone that we loved. He also made some really good suggestions that made everything even better. The countertops were actually completed ahead of schedule and delivered/installed by an outstanding group (David and crew). They were on time, detail-orientated, and very neat. During the installation process, several issues arose (primarily from things are cabinet guys did), and instead of complaining or waiting for the cabinet guys to correct the issues, they just fixed the problem(s). And they fixed them correctly. They stayed late into the evening making sure everything was correct with our installation. And everything looks fabulous!! From start to finish, our experience with Imported Stone was great. We will definitely use them again if we remodel anything else in our house. I would highly recommend them."

"

This year for the first time I hosted Christmas at my home for my family. It was the perfect time for us to update the kitchen.

I have a very large kitchen and a set budget to work with. I did a lot of research and Daniel at Lake Norman Tile and Renovations was the only company that I spoke to that was ....honest enough to walk me through all the costs.

He promised that he could get the job done prior to Christmas. On Thursday prior to Christmas the team arrived and the counter tops were removed and new ones were installed. A side desk shelving was taken down and although very tight was a perfect fit.

Even though it was the holidays,  special arrangements were made when the equipment did not work to come back  on Sunday to complete. He and his team are prompt with follow up.

My countertops and back splash are really beautiful.  The last piece to complete my project will be the delivery of the cutting board I requested when the marble was cut.

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Vale, NC

Use a stiff-bristle brush and warm, soapy water to loosen surface grime. Then, let the grout dry and finish with a grout-specific sealant. This combo cleans without scratching the tile and locks out new stains. Always follow the label directions so the cleaner and sealant bond properly. A few extra minutes of care keep grout bright and help your floors look fresher longer.

The most effective cleaner for badly stained grout is a professional-grade steam machine. High-pressure, high-heat vapor lifts embedded dirt without harsh chemicals and brightens grout lines in one pass. Pros often pre-treat tough spots with a mild solution and finish with a soft brush to protect the tile. The result is a deep, even clean that lasts longer than store-bought products.

Tile and grout are water-resistant, not waterproof. Dense materials like porcelain or glass shed moisture well, but even sealed natural stone and standard cement grout can absorb water over time. That’s why routine sealing and prompt spill cleanup matter.

Keeping moisture out prevents erosion, mold, and discoloration—especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and other splash-prone areas.

Schedule professional tile and grout cleaning every six to 12 months, with quick touch-ups in between. Busy kitchens and bathrooms often need attention on the shorter end of that range because constant moisture speeds up staining.

Sticking to this routine keeps grime from setting, reduces mold risk, and stretches the life of your tile and grout, saving you from bigger repairs later.

When done correctly, tile and grout cleaning is perfectly safe for your floors. Pros match cleaners and brushes to your tile type, control pressure, and avoid harsh chemicals that can etch or erode surfaces.

If you’re DIYing, test new products in an inconspicuous spot and follow label directions. The right technique removes buildup while protecting both the tile glaze and the grout lines.

Yes—apply a fresh sealer once the grout is completely dry, usually 24 hours after cleaning. The sealer forms a moisture-resistant barrier that blocks stains, mold, and everyday dirt, making future scrubbing easier. Skipping this step leaves porous grout exposed, which can lead to discoloration or cracks and, ultimately, expensive repairs. A quick reseal now protects both the grout and the surrounding tile.
