"Linda and Ron were terrific. Ron came out and measured within days of contact and showed me a brochure of what my window would look like upon installation. All work was clean and all joints and seams caulked tight."

"Ron, the company president, came out to give me an estimate. He was very upfront and thorough, and I felt comfortable with what he told me. He seemed a little taken aback when I asked for a written contract, but wrote one up on the spot anyway. They called to follow up a week later, and I placed my order, along with the required $500 deposit. On installation day, the installers showed up on time. However, they didn't seem to speak much English, and I had to inform them they were looking at the wrong windows. With that cleared up, they set to work - without much of a break - for about 6 hours, installing the new glass blocks. I was impressed by their work ethic, but when they had questions the language barrier seemed pretty steep. The previous owner had run some wires through the old window sills, wires we had since disconnected. The installers, unfortunately, didn't ask before running them through the mortar. I noticed before the mortar dried, and was able to take the wires out and re-pack the mortar. Overall, they did a nice job, and the windows seem very securely installed."

"JCP did a great job on a difficult installation. They delivered on schedule and had to move the glass through an almost impossible space to even reach the bathroom to complete the job. The job turned out great, I would recommend them."

"Great communication, high quality work performed - professional. We have received many compliments on quality of the work including from City inspectors. Cristina was very helpful with design / supplier suggestions, assisted us with choosing the tile, kept us updated on work schedule and was quick to respond to my questions. Daniel and Serg. were the onsite carpenters, plumbers and tile masons. Installation of Powder Room was completed before demo of 1st floor bathroom could begin. Powder Room (Basement) - Created a 5' x 5' powder room within laundry room in basement. Crew chipped through concrete slab and hand dug soil along a narrow trench from proposed powder room over to the existing main sewer pipe within laundry. Studded out the walls using pressure treated lumber along floor and closing in walls with moisture- and mold-resistant gypsum board. Placed bead board along bottom half of walls. Porcelain tile flooring with wood effect. 1st floor bathroom - Complete demo of 1st floor bathroom down to studs. Replaced sections of water damaged flooring/wall structure. A waterproof membrane was placed over entire bathroom floor creating a wet room for a barrier free (curbless) shower. The 12" x 12" floor tiles were sloped within the shower toward a linear drain with tile insert along the back wall. I would recommend and would hire Cristina and Daniel again. Thanks for the beautiful bathrooms."

"I inherited my home from my grandparents; it was in need of
major updates/renovations. I met Gregg of Modern Home Industries when I
was first looking for a contractor to replace the roof and siding. Gregg
not only had the best price, but I felt he was honest. As it turned out,
he ended up doing all the renovations that followed. Again, not only
because he had the most reasonable prices, but I had also grown to trust Gregg
and his crew and felt confident leaving them a key to go in the house, work and
lock up when they left.
They did excellent work and were literally a pleasure to deal with!"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Vernon Township, NJ

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
