The window replacements were done 3-4 years ago.  The windows are good quality.  The measurement of one window was not done properly and the installer did a fix by adding spray foam.  The deck was done 2 years ago.  The deck installers were fired as they made so many mistakes.  The deck install was suppose to be done in a week, it took 3 weeks.

I had a service tech com out to check a deck problem in May.  He is no longer working there and was laid off with almost all of the staff in Gaithersburg.  I called over a week ago for a service follow-up call.  The receptionist in Baltimore answered the phone, as there is no one in Gaithersburg and the phones are forwarded.  I am still waiting more than a week for a follow-up service phone call to be returned by the person who schedules service calls.   I have no idea how long it will take before someone can come to my home.  I am concerned that if I had a major problem, I would be waiting months to get a window repaired.

"We received four bids to paint the exterior trim and shutters on our home including a color change.  With the exception of one very low bid from a painter with no reviews on Angie's list who happened to be in the neighborhood, we chose among those with an 'A' rating who were in our vicinity.  All three companies provided prompt estimates and George's Painting Inc. was not only the lowest, but also identified more needed carpentry work (replacing weather damaged wood) than the others.  They worked with us to accomplish the prep work and painting in spite of the winter weather and made sure to use paint that was rated for use down to 30 degrees (more expensive) rather than the usual 50 degree rating (which would have been a mistake given that the temperature never got above the mid 40s). 
They have a clear focus on customer satisfaction and provided good advice throughout the process about options including PVC versus wood for trim repair and the timing of powerwashing the siding.  We decided to postpone the powerwashing to the spring on their advice since the mildew repellant will be more effective when the temperature warms and would have to be repeated if we did it now.  They handled an initial error in color selection (using the existing color when our request was clearly for a new color) very professionally without any resistance, providing two coats of the new color and minimizing lost time. Their team was attentive to detail and made sure to address our needs before completion of the job.
The quality of the work was excellent and we are very happy with the results.  We rate all of the components as 'A (excellent)' except for the price.  Our rating of this as a 'B (good)' does not reflect on their pricing which again, was the best of the reasonable estimates, but rather on the cost of house painting in this area which is high. 
We would recommend this company to others and intend to use their services again with the interior painting of our home.

"I am a senior with a background in construction.  After reviewing many contractors and speaking with some of them, I immediately knew I hit the jackpot when I spoke to Danny.
 
1.  He knew exactly what I needed and wanted done when I first spoke to him.  This entailed the replacement, repair, and installation of the items listed above with attention to quality in materials, prevention of future problems, a fair price, and a commitment to starting and showing up once the job was initiated.  Danny exceeded every expectation in these regards!
2.  I silently knew in advance manufacturers, quality and cost of exterior doors (including the french door), storm doors, door locks and deadbolts, leak-proof door sills for 6 inch exterior walls and a leak-proof barrier on the bottom of the door frames.  Without knowing of my preferences, Danny suggested the identical manufacturers and materials I had in mind.  At this juncture, we met and I hired Danny to perform the work.
3.  I am beyond pleased with the outcome of Danny's effort on this project.  As an example of his integrity, he asked me to trust him in the design and installation of an exterior octagonal window in a bathroom.  My wife and I were literally blown away with a handcrafted symmetrical waterproof tunnel and inside wall frame he created - more akin to an artistic piece than a window.
4. Inside work was always minimally invasive using tarps and soft shoes rather than work boots.  Outside and inside cleanup at the end of each work day was respectfully performed leaving no mess.
I would recommend Danny to anyone requiring any kind of interior or exterior installation, modification, or repair as I have seen firsthand examples of his experience, skills, and personal and business ethics.  In fact, Danny is presently working on costs to replace our roof."
