"About 100 l.f. of cedar picket fence was removed and replaced. The work was quoted promptly with an estimated start date. All questions were answered promptly. We were emailed and called prior to the work starting. The crew was professional and neat. The work took two days; one to remove the old fence and install new posts and one to install the fence. The crew was easy to work with and offered suggestions for solving little issues. They even put up a temporary fence for the dog. The old fence was hauled away. The area was cleaned when work was complete. We are very happy with the new fence. This was the most pleasant experience we’ve ever had with a contractor. I highly recommend Defence Enterprises."

"Nosh is a true craftsman and an outstanding professional.  He provided a clear quote and stuck to it despite some unforeseen additional expenses.  His craftsmanship and professionalism is second to none.  He and his crew arrived each morning, worked hard, and cleaned up every day.  When more of the old stone was damaged than expected, he made MANY calls around to warehouses and was able to find an exact match to our 9 year old stone!!!  It's not just a match, even...it's the same stone.  It had be sitting in the warehouse for 9 years.  He bought what he needed for the job, advised us to get more for future repairs, and delivered it to our home.  I think we bought everything the warehouse had.  We'll never be able to find that stone again (as many masons have told us previously), but now we won't need to.  Most other contractors just don't put forth that extra effort to do the job right and make the customer happy.
When discussing other potential projects and details, he is very cost conscious while still having an eye on aesthetics.  He even came back after his work was complete to meet with carpenters to provide guidance on working around the remaining poorly installed stone.  We some of the caulking around the base of our backsplash had tiny holes after drying, he came back and fixed them.  We will definitely have Nosh back to repair more of the stone and do other masonry and tiling work.
Nosh has a bit of an accent, but it's really nothing...just a little extra patience when communicating over the phone.  With his skills and experience, this is the expert you want to do your masonry work!  Finding a true and honest craftsman like Nosh is 1 in 10,000 at least.

"Terry, the owner, scheduled the work I needed done two days after I called him.  Doug came out on the hottest day we've had this summer and worked on my roof in the sun for an hour scooping out the maple tree helicopter seeds that were so thick and heavy that the weight of them bowed out the gutter and clogged the downspouts and started to grow little trees.  The working conditions outside were horrible, but he never stopped.  He cleaned the debris from all my gutters and downspouts and reattached the bowed out gutter to the house and pounded all the other gutter spikes back in where they had started to pull out.  He climbed up under my porch overhang and swept away all the webs and insect debris off the vinyl siding and brick  He removed the interior garage light fixture and installed a new one, and hauled the old fixture away.  I was very happy with the work Doug did for me, and I know I will call on this handyman service again to do more work I need done when the weather is not so dangerously hot.  Doug was prompt, courteous, professional, and a hard worker.

"I was unable to have the work done in July, but have now had Charlie out  several times to update and fix this old house.  HE IS AMAZING!  My kitchen is now like something out of Architectural Digest!  It is so awesome and beautiful....drop lights over a granite counter top and recessed lighting in the kitchen!  WITH A DIMMER!!!!  WOW.  I love it.  Drywall replaced, beautifully and ceiling fans installed!  A small room that was unfinished by me as a do-it-yourself is COMPLETE and just beautiful.  Now, onto our billiard room where Charlie is placing recessed lighting and is looking wonderful.  Charlie is a master of seeing what needs to be done and getting it done.  He is prompt and thorough in every aspect. 

I have been singing praises about Charlie to all my friends in different social circles and they are all happy and delighted, too.  I kinda wish I didn't tell so many people because now his schedule is full, but somehow, Charlie always finds a way to squeeze us in to his time.  I honestly don't know how he manages to do so much work for so many in a week!  I get tired just thinking about all he does in a week.  And he does the work to PERFECTION! 

When we walked out to look at something in the backyard, on the way back into the house, Charlie stopped and said 'What is this!!!!'  It was uncapped LIVE WIRES from an a/c that had been put in a couple years ago.  Charlie asked if they were 'live' and I told him I did not know....so he pulled out a tester and found they were live 220 volts!  It would have been so easy for me to have hit those wires with almost anything in the garage and I would have endured electrocution, possibly even death!  Charlie capped the wires and problem solved.  I guess he is not only AWESOME as a handy man, but a LIFE SAVER as well.  I had no idea about the wires and though I pass them daily, I just never knew.  The wires were actually exposed clearly and at a place where I could have easily hit them with a ladder, or almost anything.  Truly, he saw a problem just passing by, and thank goodness for his quick eye seeing this problem!
