"This Company, NorCal Water Inc. is also known as, Kinetico Water of Placerville, Ca. They installed a $5,000.00 water softener in my home in 2013 because I had iron in my well water. They should have installed an iron backwash filter for half the price, but did not do so, preying on my ignorance at the time. The latest, responsible managing officer, Cody, lied to me repeatedly when my unit recently stopped removing ferrous iron from my well water. His techs came to my home 3 times and finally diagnosed my problem as, your resin bed is shot and needs to be replaced. The resin bed is under warranty and the tech got approval to replace the resin bed directly in front of me. Cody ultimately decided that his tech, should not have told me what he did; and revealed the tech,is new and does not know what he is talking about. Cody finally agreed to replace the resin bed if I paid him an additional $200.00 on top of the $175.00 service fee. I agreed to Codys terms, as my family obviously needs clean water. CODY TURNED AROUND HOURS LATER AND TOLD ME HE IS NOT GOING TO REPLACE THE RESIN BED. So, the members of my household have been bathing and living with nasty yellow/brown well water since November 2021. It never did improve and I showed the tech numerous samples of water I took over the Holidays and a bathtub full of nasty water. I contacted Corporate Kinetico and their solution was to have me contact two other dealers over 100 miles away from my home and try to have them come fix my under warranty unit. The woman from Corporate then told me she offered me a solution to my problem and that she would be forwarding me to their legal Department, insinuating Kinetico was going to sue me. The techs have nothing to gain or lose in any of this. I believe the tech is correct in his diagnosis, as the control valve was rebuilt by the first tech on 11/12/21. Cody NEVER came to my home, thought it prudent to argue with me repeatedly and lied to me numerous times. I now have to install what Kinetico should have installed in 2013. That unit IS NOT a water softener...as I NEVER HAVE HAD HARD WATER AT ALL. It is an iron backwash filter. I know Kinetico (Cody) sells these units as his very own tech told me repeatedly that this is what I need to solve my iron in my well water problem once and for all. He began to extol the new units virtues and I told him to stop, as the water softener is going to be fixed before I spend another penny on anything else. MY well water chemistry is exactly the same as it was back in 2013, as I kept Kineticos own readings from that time and had my water tested independently in November 2021. . If you listen to Cody he sent a person to my home twice that knows nothing about well water or my water softener. That tech drove a marked Kinetico truck, wore a uniform and gave me a diagnosis, after he made two separate trips to my home and conducted numerous tests. So, in essence I let a total stranger into my home because I trusted Cody, Nor Cal Water Inc. and Kinetico, Inc. to train and vet the person Cody now claims knows nothing about what he is doing or saying to me, the customer. I guess the none knowledgeable tech was supposed to B.S his way through each work day with every customer he made contact with and collect a $175.00 service fee for his troubles. In my World this behavior by ANY COMPANY lands in the egregious column. I hope Mr. Pimentel, the CEO of this outfit, sees this. I suspect he has been told all about me..the unruly customer in a one sided narrative. I am not going away and it is my fervent hope that anybody reading this review will NEVER do business with these self proclaimed, "water treatment specialists. NorCal Water Inc. and Kinetico Inc. of Placerville, Ca. are one in the same Company. They SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED, have ZERO CRED..."

"The water here in Manteca is terrible. It smells, tastes disgusting and leaves your skin dry and ashy. I research water softeners/purifiers online and with my neighbors and then contacted AAA Water Systems since they use the Kinetico water systems. I had an appointment with Damian Fernandez and he was very thorough in his explanations of the system, how it works, maintanence, future costs, just everything I needed to know to make an informed decision. And it was the best decision ! I know have purified water right at my sink from the reverse osmosis sytem and soft smell free water from all the taps. No more hard water deposits, no ashy skin and coarse hair. No more bottled water to drink or cook with. The installers were wonderful...prompt and professional. Everything spotless when they were done. They carefully explained and showed me how to use, maintain, and just in case, shut the system off. They also provide little measuring scoops for the proper amount of soap to use in the washing machine and the dishwasher."

"They destroyed the whole pipes that caused flooding to my neighbors. The water was off and every other day we need to go out to the street to turn it on. This company denied the responsibility but later reimbursed me for the first leak repair after employee acknowledging doing partial work. This project aims to address and fix the extensive leaks. Must be completely replaced, cause of leaks appears to be from over heating of the copper as locations are at ALL connections and bends in the pipe, too much to patch. "Matt, the owner of Platinum Plumbing, was the first to respond to my request for a plumber, the most knowledgeable and reasonably priced. The job was a challenge because I live in a small two story townhome where the tank water heater was located on the first floor in a kitchen closet that I want to convert into a food pantry. I wanted the tankless water heater to go on the other side of the closet wall by my washer and dryer. Two additional plumbing companies looked at the project. One gave me an extremely high estimate which included work that wasn't necessary and the other said it couldn't be done because of venting problems through the second story. Matt was the only person who knew how to assess the job without the need for extraneous costs and knowledgeable enough to solve the venting issues. He knew exactly what tankless water heater brand would best fit my needs and used quality materials to do the job. Matt was prompt, courteous and extremely professional. He worked diligently until the job was done - which was faster than expected - and cleaned all the areas he worked in. Matt takes great pride in his workmanship which is a rare quality these days.
