"This company rebuilt a badly deteriorated cement-block retaining wall which supports my elevated driveway, repaired numerous concrete sidewalk cracks and a crumbling step, replaced an ugly, old, insecure chain-link gate with a beautiful steel door, and installed attractive brick borders around a couple of small garden spaces (after also cleaning up those weedy spaces). The price was more than fair; I'm very pleased with the work, timeliness and charming personality. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again."

"My front steps had to be replaced as they were pulling away from the foundation and were beginning to crack. John Russo explained everything he was going to do and encouraged any questions. His estimate was reasonable. He came when he said he would and his men were very efficient and cleaned up everything when they were finished. I highly recommend Russo’s Construction for your project."

"We moved into a new home last year that had a hand-made front walkway/patio from the previous owner. The old walkway had big pieces of slate stone laid into concrete for a mosaic effect, but the stone pieces were coming up and the walkway itself was unlevel, crumbling and a trip hazard. <br /> Josh from M&F Concrete came all the way out to our remote home location and gave me a great quote. He definitely knew what he was talking about and brought up points that other contractors who gave me estimates hadn't even considered. He didn't try to pressure me by upselling into something I didn't want and his price was far better than other quotes I had received. Even better, he was able to squeeze us in to his busy schedule within two weeks! <br /> The final product was beautiful and really made the front of our house look 100% better. I would definitely hire M&F again and will when we are ready to build our backyard patio! <br />"

"We had a very complex front door to install and On the Level did a superior job -- the quality of the work was superb, the price was more than fair, and all of the work was completed in a timely manner. Peter did a great job communicating through out the process --we would hire them again."

"Last year, we needed to replace our 60 year old concrete driveway, and got a few quotes from different companies. Bright (Steve in particular) provided a great, detailed quote, and was very knowledgeable and responsive to our questions, so we went with Bright. We are glad we did. The driveway turned out great. This year, we needed to replace a flagstone walkway and patio, and went with Bright again. Bright's construction team was meticulous, courteous, and responsive to our questions and requests. It was clear from watching Bright's masons work that they took pride in their craftsmanship. The patio and walkway look great."

"Lou, the owner of the company was initially very good communicating with me.  I had contacted him with concerns that my house could be in "water damage" mode after the last large storm.  He immediately put me on the schedule to give me an estimate and a plan.   He clearly explained the process of installing the water removal system, the warranty and the arrangement for the county inspector.  I had given him a "to be done by" date and he was respectful to adhere to that.  I was impressed with how professional the arrangements were and felt that my house would be properly taken care of.   The first crew arrived at the agreed upon date.  Jaimie's crew was very professional and respectful.  They were hard workers and it appeared that they did a good installation job.  However, after they left, I noticed later that they had not "put back" the wooden pilings that were previously installed on the back wall of the unfinished portion of the basement.  The warped and broken wood remnants were still laying on the basement floor.   There was also approximately 8' of broken baseboards that had to be replaced, that had not been.  Lou, the owner, had told me his men were going to reuse my old baseboards, since they were so old, that they were not made anymore.  Imagine my surprise when replacement baseboards were purchased and installed and looked like the same ones!   The next crew that came were the painters and Je Sus was very good.  They also were respectful and had a good work ethic.  When Je Sus told me that he was done, I asked him about putting back the wooden pilings on the back wall and he said that was not his job.   <br /> I then contact the business office and spoke with Ashley and she said she would contact Lou and get back to me.  To date, I have not heard back from anyone from the company.  My phone calls and messages have not been addressed or returned.  I still do not have the work completed, according to the owner's agreement.     And I am still waiting for the county inspector to be scheduled to give the final inspection.  It is a shame that what started as an impressive job, has diminished to this.  I just want to properly finish the job for which I had contracted. <br />"

"Barratt did high quality work and did it on schedule. They handled all of the excavation, concrete, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, and finish work. They have been immediately responsive in dealing with a few minor issues (faulty new circuit breaker, downspout problem) that arose after completion. Peter and David are a pleasure to work with, as is their terrific crew. We are very happy with the completed project."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Washington DC, DC

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
