"Kelemer Brothers did an excellent job replacing my windows. They were professional, punctual, and responsive to questions. Joe, the owner, was very knowledgeable about the window product and installation. The crew cleaned up as they worked and after all work was completed."

"Outstanding quality of work for the install of over 20 windows and doors. Install team is excellent in the quality of their workmanship, attention to detail and professionalism through out the process. Sales team is outstanding, providing product knowledge, customer follow up and of course providing competitive pricing on a wide range of window and door products. Very satisfied with their products and services, will continue to use them and I would certainly recommend them as a quality company to do business with for windows and door products and install services."

"Najim came out and gave an estimate. He said he would have to special order the glass and it might take a week or two (which was OK with me). A few weeks later the glass was in - he installed the replacement glass in the windows that were cracked (3 windows). He rebalanced all the windows and made sure all would open and close. (10 windows). Some of those windows needed the sash cords replaced."

"Miguel installed ceramic tile backsplash in my kitchen, a recessed medicine chest in the bathroom wall, added a wooden frame to a wall mounted mirror and replaced a broken door frame. He and his worker were professional, neat, fast and efficient. The job cost didn't change and he finished on time. All of the workmanship was excellent and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy."

"Nasel (sp?) arrived on time, was clean-cut, polite, pleasant to deal with, and confident. He did an excellent job and was done in 20 minutes. He splayed a blanket on the floor to catch any particles of glass as he worked. My husband came in and checked his work and couldn't be more satisfied in the workmanship. I would highly recommend U.S. Window Repair. Thank you, Nasel, and thank you Angie's List!  <br />"

"I can't be more pleased. Nelson and his crew were on time, efficient, professional, and courteous. <br /> They worked on 27 windows, most of them with old storm windows, and a few with screens. Everything looks like new and I'm very pleased. They were able to remove old grime and restore the outside view. <br /> Well worth the cost and there was no hassle. <br />"

"I highly recommend contacting Ed Richardson at edward.richardson@andersencorp.com . He spent half a day taking measurements & making sure I knew what my options were. The installation team worked like clockwork together, with attention to every detail they really took pride in their work. This is an old house so replacement windows was not going to be easy. Everyone we dealt with through the process was not only very professional, but also showed concern for us & ensuring this old house will keep us warm for many more Blue Ridge winters. I love our new windows & I really love the new gliding door to the deck."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Washington DC, DC

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
