"Very responsive.  Arrived on time.  Part of the job had some potential problems as to how effective the repair might be.  He was very up front on discussing alternatives.  Gave me a not to exceed estimate and then came in under that price.  The potential problem has not turned out to be a problem and his work has held up.
On the first time I used him on the shower floor, he did a thorough job of exploring the shower and it's bed.  He could have told me that more reconstruction was required and I would not have known the difference.  I think this guy is honest."

"I have mixed reviews about it. I had difficulty contacting the owner on multiple occasions. Originally, we had a difference of opinion on the cost. He wasn't going to accept the voucher that I purchased through Angie's List. In fact, my wife ended up talking with him about it. She worked out a deal with him, which, had I been home, it wouldn't have been a deal because, basically, he accepted the voucher plus what he wanted over the voucher. That being said, I thought the quality of his work was excellent. He was a very nice guy and did very, very good work. But, we clearly had differences regarding the voucher from Angie's List and what I ended up paying him to complete the work. He was very difficult to reach. I think his son had been in a motorcycle accident. So, I was sympathetic to what he was going through. It took a while for us to actually get together. In fact, he picked the bed up for repair, to take it back to his workshop and was supposed to have it back by a certain time. I'm certain that he did not return it on time because I had out-of-town guests coming and I had to get a hotel room because there was no bed available. It might have been the correct price. But, it wasn't what we had agreed upon. It certainly wasn't what the offer from Angie's List was. After I purchased it, he said, "Well, that doesn't fall into the arena of that voucher." But I read the voucher very clearly and we discussed what the work was and it clearly was within the scope of the Angie's List advertisement. Professionalism as a craftsman was an 'A.' Professionalism in terms of getting the work done was not as good."

"Over the time there have been 3 different technicians that have come out and they have all be extremely nice, friendly and professional. They also seemed to know what they were doing and the last technician has been coming for a good 3 or 4 years. I think they are very responsive. I had carpenter ants and I had general insect and termite service. They also bait for mice in the garage. If it is not time for a visit, but if I notice a problem, I just call and a technician will come out within a few days usually."

"Called about leak Sunday morning. Plumber came out Monday, determined it needed replacement and notified Choice, who approved claim and permitted plumber to order new water heater. Thursday new water heater was installed. Was kept updated every day by both Choice and the plumber. Workers left my garage clean and I have hot water. "Excellent experience.  We have used H&B exclusively for our plumbing and heat pump work for the last few years.  They are extremely responsive and do what it takes to get your problem resolved as quickly as possible.  Good communication about options or if it can't be fixed within the same call.  In this instance, the issue was a bad control board and the part was still under warranty years after heat pump purchase.  But the amazing thing is we didn't buy the heat pump from H&B.  We purchased it from another vendor before we started using H&B.  H&B determined the part was still under warranty, handled the acquisition of the replacement part with the manufacturer and all the associated paperwork.  The part was overnighted and installed the next day.  Meanwhile H&B were wonderful enough to haul our heavy old window unit A/C out of storage and put in the bedroom so that our senior dog would be comfortable overnight during the record breaking heat.  We've been in this area/house for almost 20 years and have used cheaper options but learned you get what you pay for.  H&B: dependable, responsive, courteous & performs quality work that they stand behind!
