My 1952 house was not equipped with a vent, nor proper traps for either the washing machine or sink. There were sewer gases backing up on occasion, into the sink area, which is of course unpleasant.

Robert installed the traps, then came back to add the vent to the outside of the house. He did not have to go through the attic and roof. The end result looks like it was built with the house, and blends in well with the exterior.

"upon inspection of the old tank it was determined that the tank itself, bladder, etc, was fine but the couplings at the bottom were corroded resulting in a pin hole leak. Jim offered me the choice to try to replace the couplings and save the tank but pointed out that since the tank was 10 years old it could fail sooner than later and I'd have to go through the labor charge all over again...we both agreed it was best to replace the entire tank and fittings to get it taked care of right the first time. "He was good. He was on time. He seem to know what he was doing. We have a separate house, like a little guest house and that wasn't included. It was fine not to do it but I think that would have been an additional cost so I wish I had done it in retrospect. But, he didn't try to tell me I needed it done again in a year or anything like that so he was pretty professional. There's really nothing to take issue with."
