Though there was some extra work above and beyond the initial estimate, the extra amount added was more than reasonable. No gotchas or surprises. They installed a new high-tech water softener/filtration/salt bin with a hub, as well as a new water heater and some other minor repairs. They also split our water system off so that lawn irrigation and outside spigots were on a separate line than the softened water, so more piping in the crawl space, but they took the time to make sure everything was the way it should have been when the house was built. Professional, personable, down-to-earth, no-nonsense, no hard-sell... just good, honest plumbers who know how to treat a project and a customer without overcharging. 5 stars."

"It all ended well - AHS decided to replace the furnace (19 years old) instead of the pricey part. It was a long process, though, during the hottest part of the summer. Communication between AHS and the vendor was not good. The vendor and I were both calling daily for status, having to wait on hold for 20-40 minutes before getting a person. However, the people we spoke to at AHS were very friendly and helpful. Call backs were non-existent, though, which would have been more of an issue if results were not seen. I am just grateful the 3 weeks without the furnace was during the uncomfortable summer as opposed to the bitter cold winter. Bottom line is - it got done, but it was long and drawn out. At this point we've gotten more out of the program than we put in, but I am thinking the inconvenience isn't worth the difference. The cost of service below is only for the service call - our annual AHS is about $1800."
