"It was pretty good. They came back and redid some work, it was pretty impressive. They came out to inspect the work and they actually redid stuff without me having to pay. I had to wait a few months for them. The workers were good. They need to use a more experienced contractor. I wouldn't automatically go to them but I would get quotes from them."

"Stephen was awesome to work with and his work is outstanding. We are SO happy with our new railings, they make the entire house look brand new. If you need work done in the Grand Haven/Holland area, don't hesitate to go with Northern Lights Construction. I've worked with a lot of contractors and Stephen is top notch. Highly recommend."

"It went great.  We couldn't be more happy.  They had great ideas and suggestions and the finished product looks great.  It was less than three weeks from start to finish.  There were lots of steps involved and lots of teams to coordinate.  We are very happy.  They were clean and courteous. No complaints.  We have referred them to three different friends and two of them have projects going with them.  "

"Very satisfied with this repair. They worked with our insurance company to get the best repair possible. The work was begun promptly and completed on time. Cleanup was efficient and quick. Our once damaged roof now looks like it never had a tree on it."

"Very happy with the entire process. Communication was great and Eric even brought Reggie to house the day before the job started to introduce him so I knew who to expect in the morning. Reggie and Cole were great. They took special care to respect my home and did incredible work. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product."

"We interviewed several builders in the initial process of building our home. I think we knew almost immediately that we would pick Mickelson Construction. It was a pleasure to sit with Todd and gain the understanding of the home build process. He's been building homes for a long time and came highly recommended from a friend in common. Todd and his crew are very professional as well as easy to talk with. Our home build started in the winter months, through the holidays, inclement weather, and spring break. And through that, things went smooth and completion was on time. Todd manages his crew, sub-contractors and the process very systematically. He was always reachable and communicated everything along the way. We are very proud of our new home and the work that Mickelson Construction did for us. We have received many compliments on our home both inside and out from friends, neighbors and complete strangers. I can't thank these guys enough and recommend to anyone who is considering a new home, addition or remodel. Great guys! Great quality!"

"We can't thank Matt Clark enough for the attention to detail and fine craftsmanship. He never cut corners and always worked as if he were remodeling his own home. The finish work is so fantastic I can't stop looking at it. Communication is excellent and very responsive via email or phone. The crew is extremely good natured, cheerful and respectful of the home they're working on (which is not my previous experience with construction crews). The work was completed as promised, even though they had to work late to accomplish it. My flooring was a little tougher to install than most, which meant longer hours. But they never complained. Matt is willing to answer questions and share information without reservation. Set up and clean up were easy. I really loved that we never had to ask to have things done to our specifications because the work always exceeded our expectations. <br /> There is no question that we will ask Clark's Construction back for all of our future remodeling projects! <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Whitehall, MI

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
