"I was in need of a professional Tree service due to a nice-sized branch falling onto my neighbor's walkway. Called a few services and decided to go with Taperia Tree Service after meeting Tony. My goal was to have the tree cut completely down. Tony and crew were able to come out the next day. It was very impressive to see the job completed in one day. They also did an excellent job of cleaning the work area (property and street). Taperia Tree Service will be the first call or recommendation if ever a tree service project is needed again. Trust me, this kind of project is best left to the professionals."

"This was a big project that got bigger as it went along. The brick on the house had been neglected for years before we purchased the house and there was a lot of brick work that was needed. After talking with a number of people, including my neighbors and other people that were familiar with brick pointing, I quickly learned that this is something that needs to be done right. There is no doubt that Andy is an expert on repointing and on the use of lime mortars. <br /> One of the surprises that was encountered during the job was that the reason for the tilted slates along the side of the house was there was an enormous tree root that went along the side of the house. Certainly a surprise and the crew removed the root and kept moving forward. We also didn't expect that all of the slates would have been in poor condition which is why we had to replace them with brick. Andy and his team were very good at thinking on their feet and making good decisions when problems would arise. <br /> The brick pointing went very well and the guys were careful. It is a messy job but they really tried to keep the mess to a minimum. I wiped down the window sills and we had professional window cleaners come in after the job and virtually all of the residues are gone. Also, the group of workers is very solid and trustworthy. A pleasure to have working on the house. <br /> One issue did happen and that was I thought that all of the necessary brick work was quoted at the start of the job but Andy later found that there was a large problem spot that he did not see when quoting the job. We worked this out but was not something that I had expected. <br /> Andy closely inspected the job near the end and found some areas that needed improvement which they took care of and went above and beyond what was originally expected. A lot of this had to do with minimizing efflorescence and matching the mortar between the old and the new. Andy is a perfectionist which is great asset when doing historic renovations. I know that Andy has already demonstrated his standing behind his work (needed a minor touch up at a missed spot on the chimney and was quickly corrected) which is reassuring. <br /> Andy and his crew are definitely my go to guys for any project involving masonry. <br /> <br />"

"I'm a big believer in shopping local and using local contractors whenever possible. So I was thrilled to find a guy with an A rating and 125 mostly excellent reviews who lived five minutes away! I'm so happy with the job John did cleaning, re-grouting, and sealing our shower floor--it looks brand new! He also replaced a well-worn drain cover at the completion of the project. He was hard to pin down to start the job--but usually that's what happens when people are good at what they do and their services are in demand! The price was fair, and the work was completed in less than a day! I'd use him again for tile work and recommend his services to others."

"I needed a small extension to an existing shed pad. Ron provided the best price and completed the work on schedule. We had some minor cosmetic issues from rain while it was curing, that he came out and addressed the next day and said he’d be willing to rip & replace the whole pad (definitely not for a shed!). We also had a field condition with the way the shed extended over the existing pad, which required some unexpected trimming of the siding and doors. It was done well, with no complaining or extra charges. He also repaired some cracks around our in-ground pool step handles. Ron blended the mortar and color matched, so you can hardly see there was a repair. We also received a handwritten thank you note for using their services (l never received one before from a contractor). A great experience and I plan to hire again for other planned work."

"Bob was very friendly and knowledgeable. We have had issues with our gas fireplace since it was installed by the builder. There was a very bad odor that kept us from using the fireplace, and it was very drafty too. Bob identified the problem right away. He inspected the fireplace, added some insulation to it and cleaned it. <br /> He gave us instructions about what to expect regarding the odor, a description of what different odors mean and told us to call him if the problem persists. <br /> <br />"

"Hired Need a Handyman to totally re-do our family room. The room had dark panelling on 3 of the walls with no drywall behind 2 of the walls. We needed the paneling removed, drywall installed, the whole room spackled and painted, new molding painted and installed and the ceiling painted. I will admit that it did take awhile from the time we signed the contract to the time they started the job. Most of the delays were health-related on the part of the 2 workers. But I will say that whenever I followed up with calls about the job status, they always returned my calls promptly. Once they started, they worked diligently to get the work done in a timely manner. They started on a Monday and the job was done by Friday. They were very punctual and arrived every morning at the time they had planned. They were very professional, very easy to work with and very friendly and cooperative. We love our new room - can't believe it's the same room. So thrilled with the quality of work they provided and I would definitely look to hire them again in the future for another job."
