"We purchased 41 custom Okna 900 series composite double pane windows with Low-E55/27 & Argon panes and internal and external grids from Ultra Windows. Following more than a year of painstaking research and shopping for windows in a market place full of high-pressured sales pitches, exaggerated performance claims, and often times, contradictory information, the sales process with Randy was refreshingly informative, professional, and low-keyed. Negotiations on the final window price and installation were matter-of-fact and fair. Jorge and his dream team of window installers were among the most professional tradesmen to have ever worked on our home. Each day of the week-long installation process was characterized by thorough preparation, non-stop work, and perfectionistic cleanup. Along the way, Jorge eagerly answered all of our questions and addressed any of our concerns with his immediate attention. The Okna windows with straight-lined caulking have transformed the street appeal of our west-facing 25+ year old home and continues to be the talk-on-the-block. The reduction of street noise has been exceptional, and more importantly, we have already seen a drop in our electricity bill. We are very pleased with Ultra Windows and have recommended Randy to our friends and family."

"I have used them several times. They provide a good product and they are good about the installation. If they say they will show up at a certain time they are there or will call you."

"He did an excellent job! These were hard to reach due to the difficulty in placing a ladder in this location. It was also difficult because the windows are over 50 years old and have vinyl snap-in glazing. He tackled it with a great attitude and replaced the broken panes. In addition, he came to make the repair within 2 hours after I called. The company also offered the most competitive pricing of the 3 that were contacted. I was very satisfied with the service and highly recommend them."

"I was extremely pleased with the service provided here. The owner of the shop got me in the same day and he charged me not only a very fair amount but also made sure that it was most cost effective for me so I didn't have to file a claim with my insurance. I had forgotten a credit or debit card that day, and they drove me down the street to my bank so that I could get cash while they were fixing the window. I thought that was the best customer service I've ever received from an auto shop by far. I will definitely be going here as long as I possibly can."

"When I made the appointment, I spoke to someone who I believe was the owner or manager about replacing an additional window with custom glass. This person said he would come over with the installer and discuss options and costs with me. I thought that sounded great! <br /> When the installer arrived at his scheduled time, he was alone. When I asked about the man who was supposed to come with him, he said he knew nothing about it. I then called their office, and the man was at the office waiting for the installer's call, fully prepared to come meet with me. He told me that the installer had failed to call him and that all of this information had been noted on the work order. And when I got my copy of the order, the information was indeed duly noted. Because of the lead time involved in him coming to the house, we concluded the installer would finish his work before he could arrive, so we canceled his part of the appointment. <br /> The installer than went to work replacing the glass. Not long thereafter, the installer approached me to say there were actually three mini-panes (and not two) that were broken. I asked to see the third window and saw that it was broken badly. I told him that there was no way that window had been broken before his arrival. He said OK and that he'd fix it for no additional charge. I don't know whether he broke the window accidentally or on purpose. But there is no doubt in my mind that he broke it. <br /> After the work was completed and the installer had left, I found fragments of glass and panes on the windowsills and below the windows. And the replaced panes were covered with fingerprints. The installer made no attempt to clean up or to leave the newly installed glass looking nice. <br /> I cannot recommend them. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Willis, TX

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
