"John provided the samples, scheduled, and installed roof as scheduled. He also followed up on a couple of unforeseen issues without hesitation. He can improve by communicating quicker and having his crew be more thorough about nails left in yard and driveway. Also, existing gutter covers were reinstalled improperly and has been a pain attempting to reaffix them myself. Overall though, his work and commitment to the job seems good and he is a better value compared to others who gave estimates."

"We were very impressed with Craftsman Direct and Randy Thruston, the builder who worked on the project. We picked this company based on the Angie's list reviews and were not dissapointed. Lee gave us a prompt call and Randy stopped by to review the project. We received an estimate, shortly thereafter. Since we were going to put holes on an existing, perfectly good roof to create Dormer Windows, we wanted to make sure that we hire the right person for the job. Some background information revealed that Randy is a Master Carpenter who builds homes and also had a BBB rating of A+. He continued to impress us with his meticulous attention to detail, made sure that we were comfortable with the placement of the windows before he put a single hole in the roof. Thankfully, he is definitely in the camp of "measure multiple times, and cut only once".
His work ethic is exemplary. He would be at the house at 7:45 and he and his helper, Bubba (also very skilled), would start work immediately and even skip lunch and go until past 5. When we would ask him to take lunch his response was that they had to keep going to finish on time. We had a couple of snow storms during the construction, and that caused some unforeseen delay, but that didn't deter them one bit. He just moved the snow of the roof and went at it. We have done quite a few construction projects over the years, but have not yet met a team of this work ethic and caliber.
Randy took care of the Permits, the inspections and all passed without a problem. The price quoted was very competitive and there were no surprises. The work was very well done, the job site very clean, and we could not be happier with the end result. Thank you Randy and Craftsman Direct.
