"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Our floor company had removed the existing original carpeted floor in our master bath to discover damaged subfloor surrounding the toilet area which needed replaced before they could complete the new tile floor. Because of our past experiences with J & M, we called James who was able to squeeze us in the next working day.  After James and an assistant gutted and replaced the damaged area of subfloor, James didn't feel comfortable billing us for the eventual amount of work so I told him to think about it and email us a bill.

Well he thought about it and said if we didn't mind dropping off a battery charger they'd forgotten to their nearby office, we'd be all square - no bill!  Ordinarily, you'd be able to push me over with a feather after such a turn of events but after having James complete 2 previous quality  building projects for us and getting to know him and his people, we weren't totally surprised.  A 'quality' contractor doesn't always translate to quality 'people' but in the case of J & M, it does.
We've got at least 2 more home projects planned for the not-too-distant future (which James knows about) and there's no one else we'd consider calling for either advice or estimates."

After doing my due diligence by securing at least 4 estimates from other companies, he still came out on top, both in price & his professionalism. He had FULL shingles of all colors, unlike some companies that only have sm ones you can't really get a good picture of; I had gone online to the shingle company & used tool to see what would look like on my house also. Turns out my insurance paid for everything in full (totally unexpected as I had 3 layers on), so I was ecstatic all the way around. "We were interested in a permanent patio awning for our deck. I received a call back within one day and the salesman came within the week. He was prompt and very professional. He took measurements, listened to our needs and then recommended an option. He brought in a sample to explain the quality of the materials. He also shared how they do not hire subcontractors, but keep teams of installers busy all year. The installers are employees.
We decided to put down a deposit so that we could get on the schedule and 2 days later decided to cancel the order. We decided that the price was higher than we were willing to pay right now. They returned my deposit within a week.
We have not requested estimates from others yet and will just to get a comparison. However, if I could afford the quality right now and the piece of mind of a good company, I would hire them, based on their professionalism and promptness on the front end. I would expect the same for the actual installation.
The only reason I gave them a B rating overall was because the price seemed high. Even if it is competitive, we aren't doing it right now. I felt that the price seemed in line with the quality and professionalism, just higher than we wanted.
