"On 12/20/26 , the door techs came out to my rental property. They cut a portion of the trim inside the lower bottom of the door frame. They stated the frame was improperly installed. The unit was built in 2006 and we did not have problems with it closing until now. The door hinges were never adjusted. We placed weather stripping around the door and he stated it was too much. So he peeled it off and ended up putting some of it back on. The latch was slightly moved back. The latching mechanism for smoother closing was not accomplished. My tenant called me the next day and stated that the door still had gaps especially at the bottom. The charge was $300 to move a small portion of the trim which now has a messy appearance, due to overcaulking inability to move the threshold plate, definitely no adjustment of the hinges with minor strike plate adjustment. I am wondering what the cost would been if I wanted the entire door frame replaced. The service rendered was overpriced!"
