"After the perfect winter storm of rain and snow, my basement flooded requiring immediate assistance. "You take a chance when a disaster happens and you need to choose a contractor quickly. We were out of town when a smoldering futon left our whole house covered in oily soot. I made a few phone calls and ultimately chose Green Clean over some of the bigger companies I spoke to. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. The process of mitigation took about 3 months, but when it was done there was absolutely no smoke smell. They removed ceilings, flooring, and drywall from the most affected areas, and cleaned every inch of the rest of the house. We were pleased with the results and with our initial meeting to discuss the construction phase, so we chose Green Clean's rebuild team to finish the job. This was where our experience went from good to great. I am very particular when it comes to design and materials selection for our 19th century home, and they were open to my suggestions and quirky requests. We made a few additional updates to our house, above and beyond what insurance covered, and he was transparent, honest, and flexible about the charges. We are now back in our house, 6 months after the fire (Green Clean's initial estimate had been 6 to 12 months), with no sign that we ever had a fire and no financial horror stories to tell.
