Customers say: Quality work

"Came when they said; did a very good job with the installation; and they found an issue with the original exhaust piping that could have been a health and safety issue....and made the new repair. Did the extra work quickly and treated me very fairly in price for the unexpected additional work. Thank you ARCH."

"Strong work ethic. Good communications. Dedicated to project. Cleaned up area upon completion. Exceeded my expectations. Zane Tope arrived after dark in pouring rain to see why my waterfall was not working. He worked in the pouring rain from 8:30-10:00 PM and repaired my pond filter. He returned another day to remove and replace the pipes and tubing for the waterfall. He exceeded my expectations and I was so happy to have my ornamental pond and waterfall working like new. I would highly recommend him for any outdoor job. He's honest and will tell you if your project is one he can complete. I would hire him again."

"Chuck came out the next morning. He was professional, prepared and greatly communicative. During old tank removal and new installation, he found that my overflow tank was bad and also that no copper was installed, per code, leading from my tank. He went to the store and picked up a new overflow tank for me. His charges for everything were beyond fair & reasonable; significantly less than what I was bracing for. What a relief & a God-send! My mom had used him several times over the past 8+years and I'm so completely confident in him and his work. If more people did business like him, the world would be better and people like me would breather a whole lot easier. I'M A DISTRUSTING/ OVERLY CAUTIOUS PERSON ANDS WHEN I SAY I STAND BEHIND HIRING HIM, IT'S A HUGE DEAL. This is your guy."

"My wife and I were purchasing a new house and it needed a new furnace because the 30 year old one that was in there was bad. All Type was hired for the 2nd opinion by the Home Warranty company. Our Realtor asked us to go ahead and call them up to get some quotes, because we wanted something better than the least efficient, bottom of the line furnace that the HW wanted to install. Also, the HW was taking FOREVER to get anything done, so in order to expedite the process, we called All Type to see what they knew and would suggest. <br /> I spoke with Tom who was very knowledgeable and helpful over the phone (not to mention patient)--he had to put up with a lot! They were trying to deal with 3 parties all at once (us, the seller, and the Home Warranty company), and I felt they were tip top professional about the whole confusing process. <br /> I cannot speak as to how well the furnace works as they are installing it right now, but IMO customer service is the most important part of getting an and quot;Aand quot; in service, and these guys were excellent in every aspect of their relationship with us--prompt, understanding, clear in their communication, knowledgeable, personable. I never felt like they were trying to hide something from me either. Tom recommended I look up other installation prices and furnaces to make sure we were getting what we wanted for the price we wanted. It made us believe in their ability and experience to get the rest of this done properly. <br />"

"We had a leaky spigot on the outside of the house (only when in use) that needed to be fixed. My husband is very handy but isn't always able get to things right away, so I decided to call a plumber. Blind and Sons were highly rated and relatively local, so I went ahead and agreed to pay the $60 service call fee. They mentioned that if I move forward on the work and use a coupon, the $60 is waived. I wanted it fixed, so I thought it was a no-brainer. The technician came out and immediately wanted to see where the spigot comes into the basement. While down there, he mentioned the access panel (finished basement) wasn't very large and that he may need to cut out more drywall to better access the pipe and do the soldering. Since there was also a large, multi-section desk below the access panel, he requested I move it or disassemble it. It was too much for me to do on my own at that point, so we agreed to have him come back. I was quoted $311 which was to replace a fitting and install a new 12" sillcock. A couple days later, my husband fiddled around with that spigot, realized the problem and fixed it without a dime spent anywhere. He didn't need to do anything at all in the basement or the access panel. It was all outside. Therefore, no cut drywall, no moving awkward furniture, etc. He is going to order a $5 part since he discovered something worn, but it has already stopped leaking even without it. I thought it was odd that the whole sillcock needed to be replaced, but who am I to second guess a qualified plumber. Anyways, my non-qualified husband figured it out in minutes and saved us the large expense. But I am still out $60 for what I feel was a poor diagnosis and inflated price to fix. I will NEVER call on them again."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Wooster, OH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
