"I called a few different companies to replace a water heater. One price was out of line and two of them were just about the same in price, a price that I thought was fair. You should not have to pay more than $1,500 for a new water heater, depending on the cost of the heater. Some companies want $2,000. That's crazy. A good gas water heater will cost between $500-$800. Add $100 for disposal of the old tank and new connection pipes. Add $400 for time and labor for two people. The rest is profit and the the company making sure it has time in the schedule for emergency calls like water heaters. Anyway, the Sullivan team came out and replaced the water tank in a timely manner on the agreed date. Dave Sullivan (owner) even came out and reviewed the work. Additionally, they gave some good advise on a couple other things for me to consider having done including a chimney leak. And they were right. Saved me time and stress. I will have to consider them for future projects."
