With over 40 years of experience in septic tank installation and service, Eagle and Son Septic Service is a family business, consisting of the owner Nathan Eagle, his son, and a good friend, who's just like one of the family. Nathan got started in the business at 15 years old when he was offered a job in the septic industry. 10 years later, in 1987, he started his own business. More than 40 years later, he is an expert in the field and focuses his experience on providing a personal and personable relationship with each customer.
"Nathan Eagle was wonderful to work with. I had quotes from other companies including one that gave me a multi-page contract with all kinds of exceptions so one really didn't know the final price, and then I received a quote from Eagle. Gave me understandable quotes that included all I needed. Due to our new septic not being at least 100' from our well, he changed his quote to install a BAT septic system per Baltimore County. His second quote was more than I wanted to spend, but the county had a grant program with funding available that paid for most of the cost of the new tank and its installation. He was usually available when I called or texted. A hard-working person who's actually hands-on."

He explained the proposal very thoroughly and and explained why everything was included. My furnace and AC were installed this week (by Kelly and Austin) and everything went smoothly. The installers were very capable and courteous. I would recommend Haller Enterprise to anyone needing help with their HVAC system!"

"The work was satisfactorily performed in a timely manner. The price was outrageous. I paid $378 to replace a toilet fill valve and flapper. My regular handyman was unavailable so I thought I would try Ranck Plumbing. I feel I was treated unfairly to be charged twice the cost many plumbers would bill. I would like future potential customers to be forewarned."

"I had All Aspects Waterproofing come out on Aug. 13th to inspect my basement and provide an estimate. To date, 8/31/18, I still have NOT received an estimate. The inspector promised he would give me an estimate by Friday, 8/17/18, which I did not receive. Most inspectors give you an estimate on the spot so I don't understand why he said 8/17/18, but I thought maybe he was just being more thorough. The following week I still didn't have an estimate so I called the office and they said he would call me back shortly. He did and promised to have an estimate to me sometime that weekend. I still received no estimate. So, I called the office again on 8/28 or 8/29 and they told me they would get back with me. I still have heard NOTHING from them. Not that I would every hire them now, but that's ridiculous. I don't see how AAW has such good ratings when they can't even provide a customer with an estimate. That's the easiest part. The sad part is, the inspector is very friendly, but he didn't follow through at all and neither did the company once I complained."

A septic tank lasts 20 to 30 years and can extend its life up to 40 years with disciplined maintenance. Regular pumping, annual inspections, and careful use of the system ensure long-lasting performance. Proper care—including flushing only approved materials and scheduling professional cleanings—protects your septic system and maximizes its lifespan.
Leach field failure can often occur due to a lack of proper maintenance, hydraulic overload, or environmental factors. When too much water enters the septic system—like running multiple large laundry loads back-to-back—it can overwhelm the leach field. Regular professional inspections, ongoing maintenance, and spacing out high-water-use activities help prevent failure.
A septic tank shows repair needs when noticeable symptoms arise around your home. Noticeable signs include strong sewage odors at fixtures, recurring pipe blockages, pooling water or damp patches near the leach field, and areas of unusually bright green or spongy grass. These indicators confirm that deteriorating components or clogs exist. Monitoring such signs and scheduling timely professional inspections prevents further costly damage.
Adhering to a strict, scheduled maintenance plan prevents septic system repairs. An annual inspection and a pump-out every three to five years safeguard your system’s performance. Additionally, only flushing waste and toilet paper, installing drain filters, keeping nonapproved items out of the system, and avoiding excessive water use help maintain your septic system’s health and efficiency.
