"Warren and Angel were very well knowledgeable about HOOT septic systems and how to repair them than all of the other companies. Prices were higher but I had good feelings about them. I knew they were going to do the job correctly."

"I found New Gen Plumbing on Angi and selected them due their high rating. Well the rating was well deserved. They contacted me the same day and scheduled a FREE consultation. I was scared they were going to tell me I needed a new wyd heater but they didn’t. Thank goodness! I have a tankless water heater they simply needed to be descaled. Sixto did a great job and I’m back in business with a plan to keep using them going forward. Sixto even gave me some pointers on my water filtration system the day would help the overall performance and efficiency of my water heater. Much appreciated. I highly recommend!!!"

"Andrew was great. We bought an older home with a conventional tank that hadn't been maintained in a very long time. He came out within a few hours of calling him on Christmas Eve-Eve.. His price was competitive, he was very knowledgeable and even humored my teens and explained everything as they stood over him watching the process (we've never had a septic tank before!). Have already recommended to neighbors."

"The company representative phoned promptly to set up an appointment for the next day.  The plumber, Dustin, called to let us know when he would be arriving and showed up as promised.  He checked out everything, and cleared a water pipe blockage. Our home is older, and he gave us some advice for taking care of the system.
Dustin was very professional and polite, and was careful about cleaning up before he left the house.
We were happy with the Lindsay Company's service, and would certainly use them again.

"I was so nervous this was going to turn into a costly repair that would break the bank. However- Anthony is an expert at his craft- found the issue with minimal damage, presented me with multiple options. fixed it same day, and overall was super transparent with me. I found Anthony to be very genuine and trustworthy- a rarity in todays world. Would easily and proudly recommend him for plumbing repairs."

FAQs for septic system repair projects in Houston, TX

You should have your septic tank inspected at least once every one to three years. Regular inspections help catch minor issues before they become major problems, ensuring your system operates efficiently and extends its lifespan. You can also have your pro take care of routine septic system maintenance tasks at the same time as your inspection.

A septic tank must be inspected before buying a home to ensure the system is sound and compliant with local regulations. A comprehensive inspection evaluates all critical components and detects hidden faults that could lead to expensive repairs. This detailed review protects your investment by verifying the system’s integrity and reliability.

A septic tank's leach field fails when it encounters system overload and deteriorating conditions. Excess water usage beyond the field’s capacity and environmental stress lead to hydraulic failure. Aging infrastructure and insufficient maintenance further contribute to failure. Distributing water use evenly and scheduling regular maintenance, including enzyme treatments when necessary, preserve the leach field’s integrity.

A septic system lasts between 20 and 30 years. Steel tanks function for 15 to 20 years, concrete tanks operate for 20 to 40 years, and fiberglass or plastic tanks remain durable for 30 to 40 years. Consistent maintenance, including regular pumping and inspections, extends these lifespans by preventing buildup and structural damage, ensuring reliable long-term performance.

A failing septic system presents clear signs such as slow-draining fixtures, foul odors at or around the leach field, and overly green patches of grass. Additional indicators include persistent toilet flushing problems, standing water near the system, and noticeable gurgling noises from pipes. These symptoms reveal blockages, structural damage, or leaks. Immediate professional evaluation is essential to address these issues and prevent extensive repair costs.
