"I recently purchased a new home for my mother and found out after the purchase that the entire septic system needed to be replaced. Nolan worked with us through the whole process, helped us understand the issues, funding requirements, and provided us with a reasonable quote. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I would recommend them."

"Two bathrooms in my property were backing up. I was extremely irritated because the same issue occurred 3 months ago and was supposedly fixed by another plumber. This time I called Jim to check it out. He found that the previous plumber used improper pipes and connectors and never tied the laundry to the septic. None of the previous work was done to code. He discovered the prior work required a permit which the previous plumber never pulled. Jim came in and replaced everything with the required materials and pulled all the correct permits. His work was inspected by the city and passed with flying colors. His service was superb! I love how he took the time to go over everything he was going to do in great detail. He also helped lay out how exactly I should go after the other plumber to get a refund and even offered to represent me in court. If that’s not great service then I don’t know what is. Let’s just say I’ll be using Jim over and over again. I highly recommend his service."

"They gave us an estimate, we got a septic permit and then they gave us a proposal/price. We called them on a Friday to ask when they could start working. Sean said they would be out Monday to bring materials and start work on Tuesday. They got a slow start and showed up with the materials on Tuesday and a backhoe on Wednesday and started working on Thursday. The following Monday they had completed most of the work. They installed a new infiltrator 1080 gallon septic tank in the backyard to replace the existing gray water and septic tanks. They did not pump out either tank and broke apart the septic tank to make room for the new tank. They also installed a 540 gallon dosing tank with an alarm and pump. Then, they put an infiltrator drain field in the front yard and ran electrical to the pump. They finished this work on Monday and we didn't hear anything from them. I called the health department on Friday afternoon and was told that Xtreme renovations had just called them and that they would be able to send someone out from the health department on Monday. The work must have passed inspection because someone from Xtreme Renovations came out on Tuesday and they finished covering up the septic tanks, pump and drain field yesterday - Wednesday. During the process of covering up the drain field with sand, they broke our front walkway. When they called Wednesday for the last payment we told them it was broken and they sent someone out the same day to fix it. Start to finish it took them 2 and a half weeks to complete the job."

"We have had semi emergency plumbing issues twice now and Duck Duck Rooter were the only company who could do the job in a timely manner. A little pricey in my opinion, but excellent quality work and we didn't have to wait to have the work done."

"I had multiple bids for a septic drain field that I needed installed. Mr. Grant was very kind when he came out to do the assessment of the property he gave me a very competitive price, But above all else he was able to start the following week. He just completed today and his work was excellent. He cleaned up after himself. He Was extremely professional and went out of his way to make sure that I was happy. I live in Lake Asbury and all of these houses out here are on septic, I will be highly recommending him to all my people that I meet."

FAQs for septic system repair projects in Jacksonville, FL

Leach field failure can often occur due to a lack of proper maintenance, hydraulic overload, or environmental factors. When too much water enters the septic system—like running multiple large laundry loads back-to-back—it can overwhelm the leach field. Regular professional inspections, ongoing maintenance, and spacing out high-water-use activities help prevent failure.

A septic tank shows repair needs when noticeable symptoms arise around your home. Noticeable signs include strong sewage odors at fixtures, recurring pipe blockages, pooling water or damp patches near the leach field, and areas of unusually bright green or spongy grass. These indicators confirm that deteriorating components or clogs exist. Monitoring such signs and scheduling timely professional inspections prevents further costly damage.

Adhering to a strict, scheduled maintenance plan prevents septic system repairs. An annual inspection and a pump-out every three to five years safeguard your system’s performance. Additionally, only flushing waste and toilet paper, installing drain filters, keeping nonapproved items out of the system, and avoiding excessive water use help maintain your septic system’s health and efficiency.
