"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"Called and made an appointment. The plumber, Lee, showed up as scheduled. We discovered that the shut-off valve for the water to our condo unit was in another owner's unit. That owner was not home, so we had to reschedule the appointment.
I rescheduled the appointment and was told the plumber would arrive at 8:00 a.m., the first appointment for the day. On the day, the plumber did not show up at 8:00. I ended up calling to see why the plumber had not arrived. I was told that another plumber was out that day, which had thrown the schedule off. (I realize these things happen. I do wish they had called to tell me there would be a delay as the water had been shut off for three units and was keeping another unit owner--in whose unit the main shut off valve was--from going to work.)
When Lee arrived, he apologized for the delay. He replaced the shut-off valve and installed the new fill valve, which stopped the toilet from running. He also lowered the fill water level to save water. Lee cleaned up any mess made by the work and was clear at explaining what had been done and about how to use the shut-off valve in a way that could help it last longer (e.g. not turning it too far or too tightly when turning it off.) Lee explained that I was being charged for the 15 minutes from the first call (when we could not shut off the main water line to our unit) plus labor and parts for this work. (There was an apprentice with Lee both times who was very friendly and professional.)
A few hours after Lee left, the toilet began running again. I could not get it to stop, so I called and got an appointment for a time when I could be home a few days later. For this third visit, Jeff was the plumber. He replaced an O-seal on the flush valve with an extra I had on hand. He also removed some debris from the toilet tank that he thought might be interfering with the seal. He also adjusted the water fill level, which added more pressure to the flush valve, which stopped the toilet from running. He did not charge us for this call, since he was adjusting work done earlier.
Though it was a bit convoluted, we still appreciate the work done. We appreciated the idea of using less water with each flush, and appreciated the "learning" that the water needs to be a certain level to keep the flush valve from running.
Lynn, the receptionist with whom I dealt through all of this was friendly and helpful.

"Jeff and his team did a great job. This was not an easy job for the following reasons:

• Low lit area
• Attic space that was probably in the upper 80s to work in
• Plaster ceiling below that is very fragile
• Electrical was running through the joist they needed to clear
• Old subfloor boards are not easy to work with, some of them had previously cracked

With all of the above issues to deal with the team had no problem clearing the space without damaging anything.

"All went well. I purchased a big deal from Angie's List. I was contacted promptly after my purchase and an install date was set. On the day of installation the tech was punctual and efficient. He went through how to use the system before leaving. The only thing missing was that he didn't introduce himself; I don't know what his name was. "We had just moved into a new house and ran the dishwasher for the first time only to find water seeping out all over the hardwood floors!  We ran one more load just to be sure it was the dishwasher, which it was.  We called two companies for a quote.  I left a message with SOS, but they returned my call probably within 15 minutes.  The gal on the phone was extremely helpful.  She told me what it would cost for the service call and then explained the Angie's List discount, which I had already seen online.  Whereas the other company was scheduling a whole week out, she said they happened to have a serviceman, Cory, who was in a neighboring town and who was finishing his work route early that day, so he had one more opening.  He was at our house within 20 minutes.  He got on the floor and discovered right away that the drain hose was cracked and needed to be replaced.  We approved the repair and he had it up and running, including testing for leaks with the new hose installed, within an hour.  We ran another load tonight and there's no leaking.  Thank you, Cory!"
