"A++ Clog-Busters!! We called in the early morning and they were out to our house within a couple of hours. We will definately recommend this company to friends and family! Chris V., the plumber, who was professional and knowledgeable, came to our house and within an hour he had diagnosed, and de-clogged the main drain, and re-set the toilet. He also left our house clean of the debris pulled from the drain. Thank-you!"

"The service was GREAT! Mr. Brown was the first company to call me back. He was able to come over even before the time promised. He listened to my concerns. He understood my frustration. He fixed my leaking pipe fast, and professional. His work looks really good, and no more leaks."

"Exactly as I had expected. I had a general handyman help me install the water heater and the water pipe connections were less than perfect. I didn't want to leave any work that risks flooding my basement to chance so I consulted a professional plumber. I called Benjamin Franklin and they had someone out the very next day (I did not have an emergency, no leaks).
Matt showed up, listened to my story, understood my concerns (I expected the install to look good and perform perfectly).
Not only did he fix what was wrong, but he went the extra mile and checked the gas fittings, found a loose fitting on my pressure relief valve fitting, and even commented that my flue ductwork might need to be upgraded to meet code (he really knows his stuff...a sign of a true professional). He was clean, courteous, and extremely time efficient. In and out in less that 1.5 hours.

"They fixed the broken pipe but they didn't clean up. It was flooded with water and our valuables were left wet when they were done. They could have asked us to remove the valuables or atleast cleaned up. It was a messy job. Definitely not the red carpet service that they claim to provide. The cost of the service was really high as well. The coupon is a joke. They mark-up the cost and then provide a discount on that.

"Ever since we purchased the house 2 years ago, the gas logs have not worked. We had 3 service calls, all to no effect, until we found Aspen. The two workers stuck with the problem until they figured it out. It required two different trips; they came when they said they would, were very polite, protected the area where they were working and cleaned up afterwards. In the process of their work, the grill on the front of the fireplace was slightly scratched (so they told us--we had not noticed) and they painted it before they left. We were completely satisfied with their work and would strongly recommend them."

"The gas insert had additional issues that could not be fixed by the technician. No fault of his own just a classic example of you get what you pay for.  I had to replace the insert at a later date and remove everything he did.  If I knew that he could not get it lit, then I would not of had the service done.

FAQs for gas piping projects in Ypsilanti, MI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
