I am pleased to say that I've finally found a plumber that I would not only use again, but recommend. He asked multiple questions so that he could give me a real price, not a price that gets him in the door that he could then upcharge. Nathan was on time, he had booties for his feet. When I needed something additional, he told me and explained why without being condescending. He did great, neat work for a fair price and also did a great job on the clean up. I'm VERY happy with my experience!"

"I had a plumbing emergency that started as a blocked pipe and ended up being a sheared sewer pipe that 1) needed to be located under a set of concrete steps 2) had to be unblocked and then repaired over a period of 3 days. It was hard manual labor and very difficult work. Ray and his team, including Martin were extremely professional, spending time explaining what was happening every step of the way and going through the costs in detail. They had to dig a 6ft hole in my back yard and then had to break off parts of the concrete steps. They left my backyard in tact, took away all the junk and waste material and supported the new pipe to code. I would recommend them highly for any plumbing job. On mine they were truly put to the test and remained focused, professional and delivered excellent work."

Was not told ahead of time that I would need to pay 408 dollars for essentially hooking up a wet vac to the end of a pipe and turning it on for thirty seconds Expected to pay $200 Actual payment was $493 Line codes from the invoice S-Service Call $85.00 S-Blow Out Condensate Drain $408.00 DESCRIPTION OF WORK / RECOMMENDATIONS from vendor Condensate pvc drain clogged with sludge & slime. Cleared condensate drain with nitrogen & vacuum. Unit draining properly after repair. 0ppm co reading. No gas leaks found. Customer recently had a cc completed. All ok at departure. Recommendation is that if you need this service performed is to get a quote in writing from the vendor ahead of time or just get a shop vac and do it yourself. Will not recommend although would like to hear vendor response as to how this poor customer experience could work better. (UPDATE): The Vendor has reached out to try and mitigate the cost and is much appreciated."

"It seemed ironic to call Modern Heating to fix our old boiler pump in our old house (1910), but they are local to our area (Waukegan) and we figured they could get to our house quickly. We called shortly after they opened, and we had a call back within 10 <br /> minutes that the repair guy was on his way within 15 minutes. Ken came to our house and after we described what happened, he took a look and assessed that the wiring within the pump itself blew out and replacing the pump would fix the problem. He replaced the pump with a newer type that is a third of the size as the original, and does not need regular oiling (bonus!). He also ran new wiring to the pump since the original connection was too short. <br /> The price was very fair. Ken did a good, neat job. He wore shoe booties in our house, and I saw him pick out bits of wire from the drain pan before he dumped the water into the sink. He was pleasant to chat with, and answered questions on maintaining our <br /> boiler system. Very happy to have found a local company that helped us out quickly on a cold day. <br />"
