"The install went fine. ?The installer?was on time,?super-nice and knew his craft. ? BUT I'm really angry over the price charged! ?When I called to make the appointment, I told them it was for a dishwasher installation. ?There was never a price offered. ?(Shame on me for not asking.) ? I didn't worry about at the time, because I had anticipated $300-400.00 When he arrived he looked under the sink and told me that the cheap plastic tubing that came with the house, (he didn't say cheap. I did), would have to be replaced. ?He used other plastic piping. ?He DID tell me the price before starting. ?So I can't fault the installer. ?No one forced me to go ahead. ?But I had this new dishwasher sitting on a pallet in the middle of my kitchen floor, and I had already took the day off from work. The work was flawlessly executed;? Neat, clean, no issues what-so-ever. ?And still happy with it the job. ?Just NOT the price charged. ??There was no reason for that install to be $900.00 So why did I say above that I would use them again? ?Because of the number of positive reviews and overall rating on this site. They also guarantee their work 100% for 2 years! ?? So yes, I will call on them and again. ?But?I will ABSOLUETELY ask the price before booking the appointment!"

"Well people are broke these days they give a high quote with lots of extras. They give another quote lower an then the 99 dollar drain cleaning quote. I needed just new pipes under the sink. They said the second quote would do all of that. Well I didn't have the second quote cash so he took the calculator and did a little song and Bam there was a agreement worked out . Thx!"

"A very small gas leak developed around the valve shaft on my gas fireplace. I called Butler to fix what I considered a very minor problem. They arrived on time and were professional in using booties, etc. We quickly detected that there was small leak past the valve packing and that the packing nut simply needed to be tightened to fix it. They said that they were not the gas experts and didn't have the tools to fix it on this visit. I pushed them to fix it anyway, using my own tools. I did some of the work and this was fixed on the first visit. I got the impression that Butler would have billed me for a 2nd visit if I had not completed this simple job for them. I'll give them the benefit of doubt but I don't appreciate being gouged for simple repair jobs."

"I called Star City for the first time 2/3/2021 and requested same day service for a leaking pipe. One of their plumbers, James Mills, called me mid-morning to let me know what time he planned to arrive and to ask some questions about the job before he got here. He called again to let me know he was on his way and actually arrived earlier than planned. Although the ground was still covered with snow and everything was soaking wet from the leak, he crawled under my home to take a look at what needed to be done. Once he found the leak, he cut the wet insulation from around the pipes so everything could start to dry out while he went to get some parts. He not only fixed the problem quickly and efficiently, he explained to me step by step the process he was taking and took extra precautions to wrap the pipe and replace the insulation and lining. He was knowledgeable, efficient and had an exceptional attitude about his work. One of the best experiences with a contractor I've had in a very long time. HIGHLY recommend this company."

They charged me from the time they called me on the phone to say they were on the way to my house. It took about 35 minutes (7 miles) to get to my house to begin the work plus 80 cents a mile. The actual job took 55 minutes but with the travel time I was charged for 1 1/2 hours. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> I would give them an and quot;Aand quot; overall except for the fact they charged me for 35 minutes of time before they arrived at my house. I am guessing most if not all of the plumbers do this. Am I right?"
