"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Joel told us he would arrive at 830am the next day to replace our failed sewage pump. On 12/10/25, in the midst of an 8 inch snow storm, Joel arrived on time! He gladly replaced our pump and brought the plumbing unit for the pump up to code for a very fair price. We are very glad we hired him and gladly paid him! Perhaps the only bad part of this review Joel won't like, is the advertisement that he works on sewage pumps, it's a smelly job! LOL! Thank you Joel and thank you Kilburn's Plumbing! "They were very flexible in telling me what else could be done and what it would take.  They took care of everything and I did not have to run around or do whatever a home owner would have to do.  I used them through a big deal and hence their pricing was great.  I looked out of the window and I could see that they did a tight and very neat job.  "

"The original project was done adequately. However while doing a 20ft hydojet clean out and camera inspection for an additional $900. We were told that for $2500 more we should replace the 5-6 ft caste iron pipe that was left between both ends of the PVC sewer pipe. And to replace 20ft septic line to confirm proper pitch would be about $6500. We had a second opinion and had the complete line dug up, re-pitched and replaced for $1500. Also the 5-6 ft caste iron pipe was actually only 2ft long and was next to the PVC line and clean out that Mr Rooter replaced. So could have been corrected easily while they were performing the original repair. Since they had service advisors who could come out the same day. The project was urgent enough to eliminate second opinions. So do not know what a competitive price would be but the additional recommendations and charges were very high."
