"Travis went above and beyond to deliver great service. He took pictures of what he saw going on in the crawl space. He patiently and carefully explained those issues to me. He is very knowledgeable. When it’s time to service the dehumidifier next year, I will be sure to ask for him."

"The flagstones on my front door landing and steps came loose over the years and became a trip hazard.  I contacted 10 contractors to obtain quotes to repair the landing and steps.  I spoke with a few and I was told that they are booked through Spring 2015 and won't be able to do the work.  Others, didn't even have the simple courtesy to return my messages.  The few who returned my messages quoted me very high.  One even told me that I would have to remove all 5 of the stes and landing and rebuild the whole thing.  So, you can imagine how high the quote was.  <br /> But, as God would have it, I called Philadelphia Brick & Stone Pointing, Inc and spoke with Denis.  He was very courteous on the phone.  I explained to him the problem, and he understood excatly what I was talking about and was very knowledgeable about the causes and repair work needed. He also guaranteed me that he would be able to do it within two weeks, weather permitting.  We had some rainy days and had to push back the date.  But, Denis was so professional, he informed me of the date changes in a timely manner.  Finally, we had some non-rainy days and we set a date.  I had planned on being on site to observe the work.  But, Denis suggested that there is no need for me to take off from work.  Based on my previous communications with him, I trusted his judgments and knew that he would do an excellent job.  And, indeed he did an excellent job.  He arrived on site and completed the job the same day and I was quite impressed with the work done.  The workmanship was superb.  He removed the old flagstones and installed the new ones and they were laid down properly.  The pointing was on point.  He cleaned up after he was finisihed and then came back about two weeks later to waterproof the landing and steps.  He even sealed some other areas around the steps/landing that was not in the contract.  I was just so happy to find him, as it is truly hard to find good contractor like him.  I am a very happy and satisfied customer and I just love looking at my new landing and steps.  I won't hesitate to hire him in the future.  <br /> If you need this type of work done, or any other masonry-related work, give Denis a call.  You will get great work, great price, great customer service and overally professionalism from Philadelphia Brick & Stone Pointing, Inc. <br />"

"G&B recently completed a driveway, sidewalks and patio with fire pit for us and it turned out beautifully. George offered several helpful suggestions for choosing the right color and stamping pattern to really tie the project in with the house. These extra details are why we chose G&B above the others. The crew was prompt on completing the projects as well as courteous and mindful of our neighbors during the job. Highly, highly recommend for any concrete needs."

"Our 1890s Victorian had a brick sidewalk that was in pretty bad shape. Artistic Masonry had done work for us in the past so we asked them for a quote. The job was well planned out and then executed to that plan. Weather added some challenges but the team adapted as needed. We are thrilled with the result. Neighbors and walkers have also commented on the great job. We highly recommend Artistic Masonry to meet your needs."

"We are first time homeowners and had a clogged pipe that resulted in water damage in the basement and damage to our roof from a storm within a few month period. We've never had to file a claim before or deal with this level of damage, and I didn't know where to start (do I call the insurance company, how do I navigate the process?). A friend who had worked with Funari in the past recommended them to me. I'm so glad they did! They did all the work, talked me through the process, and handed me a check at the end. They are professional, competent, and definitely worth their fee. Highly recommend!"

"Tom and his crew did a great job in a short amount of time re-grading part of our back patio area and repairing our street-facing basement wall. I really appreciated his experience/opinion on how best to go about covering the flaking parged wall in the unfinished basement of our 1920s S. Philly rowhome. The completed work in both areas looks terrific. Fast communication via text. Would hire again."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Philadelphia, PA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
