"Incredible service from these guys. Got referred to them from a friend after getting an outrageous quote for a water heater issue. Called in the evening and spoke to Charolette, she was incredibly nice and helpful. Michael came the next morning around 10am and diagnosed the issue and had a quote within the hour, and even offered to do the work same day so we could have hot water again, By 3pm he and Brad had removed the old and installed a new water heater, rerouted the lines to its new location, installed new safer venting, and cleaned up like nobody had even been there. Great down home family team thats efficient and straightforward, they weren’t trying to up charge and gouge us. Highly recommend these guys!"

"Stupendous?in a word Stupendous! Atmos came out to check for a gas leak and sure enough there was one and they locked the meter down! I went to Angi?s list and searched on gas line plumber and J.Z. Plumbing came up as well as the other major names in the metroplex. This was on a Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday morning Luis Zamora, the master plumber with J.Z. Plumbing came out and as well as the others and Luis was able to give me a deal I could not refuse. By Wednesday afternoon they began to totally replace the gas line from the meter to the house ?all 65 feet of it 24? deep! By the end of Thursday, they were done replacing the entire gas line enough to get the city inspection done late Friday morning? before the rains came on Friday. These guys busted their axx!!! Using J.Z. Plumbing easily saved me a few thousand dollars and I will gladly refer and use them again!"

"We had a gas leak following having our roof replaced. The gas was turned off late Wednesday night, made calls on Thursday and Jake was at our house by 0745 Friday morning. He hit the ground running. Gave us the price upfront and somehow managed to find the problem, pull permit from the city, fix the leak and get an inspector out all in one day. We had our gas back on by 4:00 pm. We couldn't have been more pleased in what was otherwise a pretty unfortunate situation. We will definitely call him again for further plumbing and gas needs."

"<p>Our Tech was Glenn, He called before coming and he arrived on time. He was very polite, professional and friendly. He went to work quickly </p> <p>We have had slow drain in the kitchen sink since we move here 4yrs ago. Sink would back up and go into dishwasher. We could not run water in kitchen sink while the dishwasher was running without drains backing up. The Plumber came in undid the pipes under the sink and ran a plumbing snake through the pipes until he dislodged what ever had been causing the stoppage for all these years, reconnected all the pipes and did all this without causing a mess! Afterwards he checked to be sure all the pipes drained well. Removed his equipment and was gone in less than 30 min!! It was wonderful! The pipes never drained so well..</p> <p>   It is awesome to not have to worry about washing dishes and  not fearing another mess.</p> <br />"

"My experience with On Call Plumbing was excellent. Ed went above and beyond to make sure that our plumbing was fixed and our water was back on the same day he came out. We had 3 breaks in our pipes requiring finding the leaks, removing brick from the exterior walls to repair 2 of the breaks, and mortaring all of the bricks back into place. This took 7 hours going until after dark. We greatly appreciated that Ed was determined to complete the entire job that day. He also made sure to put pipe insulation (which the builders did not) on the pipes and added extra insulation inside the exterior wall. The price for all of this work was also much cheaper than expected. Fantastic service."

"My house was on the market with a contract. The buyer's home inspector said I had a gas leak. Another plumber was going to "fix it" at a cost of $2000. I found out this was not a Master Plumber though but only a Journeyman. My contract said I had to have it fixed by a Master Plumber. I called this plumber out to fix the gas leak and after much investigative work he said he honestly could say I had no gas leak and would write that up for the buyer. I could have really been taken to the cleaners if he wasn't so honest. To boot my neighbors nabbed him and he worked over there for 2 hours free of charge. He couldn't fix the problem without first talking to the owner who could not be reached. The fix meant tearing out a wall. So he could not fix their problem because he could not get permission from the owner. He did not charge them a dime."

"Better than excellent. They saved the day by adding us to their already full job list and came the same day I called. The plumbers came in, explained what there were going to do, found the leak and fixed it. Incredibly thankful for the great service."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Seagoville, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
